It does have a power connection and an aux connection (exactly what you are looking for). You simply drop your phone into the cradle to instantly have both power and aux. I will take and post pictures later today.

I put it together for Iphone 3GS but it fits Iphone4 just fine. As it was dark outside I took pictures of Iphone 3GS with Iphone4.

The setup consists of three parts:

Padded Holder with Tilt Swivel for Cable Attachment
Apple iPhone 3GS
915255
$39.99

ProClip Console Mount
2008-2010 Mercedes Benz GLK-Class
834270
$29.99

Griffin AutoPilot for iPod (purchased separately)
$25.99

There is a single wire that goes (tucked behind panel) to the glove box where it plugs to the accessory power and aux port.

Very good

Great. Thanks, but I need more details on this
"Griffin AutoPilot for iPod (purchased separately)

How you connect power and AUX to this cradle? Why it is single cable? It is coming with cable? Also I didn't try but if you use AUX and somebody calls you can you answer it without disconnect AUX?

This is what is great about autopilot. There is a single dock connector at the base. You get the aux from the end that plugs into a power outlet. As far as phone calls, phone is connected to the car via Bluetooth. When a call comes in, audio is automatically muted. I like this setup a lot.

I searched for reviews for the autopilot and found a short one that will give you an even better idea what it s all about: http://schwarztech.us/reviews/griffinautopilot

Ok. What is " single dock connector "? You can plug power or AUX cable? You use Griffin AutoPilot for iPod because it is power and AUX in one conector? What If I just want to connect AUX. I dont need Griffin AutoPilot for iPod? Do you have picture of this connector on a bottom of dock station? Sorry for a lot of questions?

A "single dock connector" is a standard 30-pin connector that you plug into your iphone/ipod/ipad, etc. The connector was designed by apple to specifically interface with accessories (audio/video signal, power, sync, etc.) In case of the autopilot, it allows to power up your iphone and to send the audio signal to your auxiliary port. If you take a look at the link i posted earlier, it has pictures of the autopilot with a 30-pin connector. In my setup, this connector is permanently attached at the bottom of the cradle (this cradle is designed to permanently mount an external pin connector.)

I am using the autopilot because it allows me to simply drop my phone into a cradle and to have the power and aux instantaneously. I do not need to mess with separate wires to plugin to aux and power up my device.

If you do not need power, then you need to find a 30-pin connector to 3.5mm jack wire to accomplish it and I have never seen one.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I am more than happy to help.

a quote from the review link (http://schwarztech.us/reviews/griffinautopilot)worth noting: "A 3.5mm line-out jack allows you to run the clean, unamplified audio signal from your iPod Dock Connector to your car stereo or cassette adapter. This is the AutoPilot’s big selling point. Rather than have a bunch of cables coming from your iPod, you just have a Dock Connector. From there, the iPod gets charged and connects to your car stereo. A switch marked “hi/lo” lets you adjust the signal coming out of the AutoPilot. In most cases “hi” is for direct connection to car stereo’s aux jack, while “lo” is for use with cassette adapters."

I need to mention, that if you opt for a cradle that allows you to permanently mount your own 30-pin-dock connector, it must have the following measurements (width:27mm, height: 16.6mm, thickness: 7mm), otherwise it will NOT fit. The autopilot connector is just a little bit larger and I had to trim the connector nest a little to fit it in, nothing major though.

However, it looks like they are now making cradles with a pass-through connector for cable attachment that is already built into the cradle. This pass-through connector will accept an external 30-pin dock connector of any size.

The first link lists "2010 packaging". From what I can see, the difference is that 2010 version officially lists iphone as supported. The previous version was initially meant for ipod only, although it works just fine with iphone (it only briefly displays the "accessory is not supported" warning message). In other words, you will not get a warning message if you go with 2010 version. I would go with 2010 version. Hope it helps.

from www.proclipusa.com for the iphone4 setup you will need:

Item #: 834270
Item #: 516164

The above two items will get you a setup very similar to mine. I encourage to research proclip web site; they have two other mount options and at least one another cradle option with a pass through connector. My cradle fits bare iphone with no skins or bumpers, they have an adjustable version that will allow you to dock an iphone in a case.

From the proclip web site:
"Please note: You need 2 Parts to Mount Your Device on Your Dash.

Part 1 - VEHICLE MOUNT, specific to your vehicle
Part 2 - DEVICE HOLDER, specific to your device, such as the one above
Together, these two parts create your mounting solution"

My cradle is not adjustable. I have no experience with adjustable cradles.

Console mount is specific to its location. You will not be able to install it on the driver side.

I am not too sure about the difference between 854269 and 834270. It looks like 854269 is a little more raised, compared to 843270 and is mounted closer towards an ashtray. Mine is part # 834270. You can see from my pictures the exact mount location compared to the gear stick.
