It doesnt mention "trade up" just that they want to buy back the GLK and purchase something else from them. I guess its still trading up but would I lose my *** ?

I get a similar letter quarterly. There seem to be several versions. One says they have a buyer for one of my rides, the next says they have special deals for a worthy like me, and so on.

It comes in the same envelope as the recall/bulletin notifications so it can't help but get your attention. If they wanted to be green they should use email and I actually would take it more seriously.

Old habits, especially in car marketing, die hard.

I thought it was one of those 90 day return periods similar to Chevy's? campaign where you can return the car if you are not satisfied.

This sounds just like dealer's way to get you to showroom.

That's sort of how I ended up with my GLK. I got a letter that they wanted me to trade in the C230 or S430 toward a new vehicle. I filled out the online form they wanted me to and the offer was too low for me. About 3 weeks later my salesman called me asking if I was still interested in the GLK, which is what got me into the dealership. Walked out with the truck but didn't trade anything in.
