I have noticed that when I turn, the lights swivel more to the left than when I turn to the right. Is that normal? It just seems strange to me because on another car, the lights turn equally right or left...

How can you even tell? Do you have two identical turns (one right one left) and you take them at identical speed?

yes, at identical speeds because the right turn comes immediately afterwards on this pitch black road I drive on to get home. I even have to turn sharper on the right turn. It is very obvious that when I turn right the headlights don't move as much.

But I have been justifying myself that maybe they don't move as much cos the lights are skewed? (as in, the right side is more illuminated for road signs)

our manual states that the turning of the lights on both sides are not the same, i think the left turns less than the right or vice versa

That's exactly what it is. They do shine more to the right for signs but also not to blind oncoming traffic.
