Anyone else have 2012 GLK350 on order?

I have an Arctic White, GLK350W4 on order with first decade in July production scheduled. Will be interesting to see what changes are made to equipment specs and prices. My order includes the S33 Multi-Media Launch Package, Premium 1 Package, Parktronic, Lighting Package, HK Sound System, and Heated Front Seats.

Anyone else care to share their order?

If you ordered shouldn't you know the price? My guess nothing changed.

We always make deal relative to invoice price--whatever that turns out to be. There will be a few minor changes with the 2012s--more than have been reported to the public. We started out looking for a 2011, but ended up going with an early 2012 order to get exactly what we want in the way of options. Also, our trade-in deal is the same whether a 2011 or 2012. When it comes to trade time again in a few years, the 2012 will be worth more due to the newer model year.

What additional changes for the 2012s? So far we know about the aux device connection moving from the glove box to center console along with new color options and no more 7-spoke 20" wheels (replaced by the 20" wheels they've had in Canada and other parts of the world for some time now). Anything else?

i see....

But 2012 might cost you more as well tho vs. buying car when dealers clear inventory. I read about amazing deals ppl get in Nov/Dec.

My bet 2012 will go up in price again. My car as 2011 model was 2k more vs 2010.

The old 320 Mulit-media package option with COMAND NTG 4 appears to be gone. In its place is code S33 COMAND Multi-Media Launch Package. I have not seen any confirmation, but I think the GLK will be getting the new COMAND headunit and upgraded Nav like in most other 2012 Mercedes. No online capability until 2013, though.

I have a very good relationship with my dealer. I expect to buy the 2012 at $1500 to $2000 under invoice, depending on fleet discounts and/or MB Conquest discount.

That sounds like an awesome price!
Aren't the MY 11's going for at or slightly above invoice?

What is the conquest discount?

I don't follow that logic, if invoice price goes, your price still goes up.

What is the conquest discount?
Conquest discount is a limited number of extra discounts available to each Mercedes dealer each month to reward them for selling a Mercedes to a current owner of a different luxury band. In my case, I also own an Audi. The specific amount can change month-to-month. For June, the Conquest is an extra $2k off a 2011 GLK. Will have to wait until July to see what Conquest there may be on a 2012 GLK. Because dealers have only a limited number of these special discounts, they hold them back for there best customers. Unless it is the end of the month (and they have some left over) you cannot just walk in off the street and get these discounts.

In answer to your other part of the question, I would be buying below invoice for either 2011 or 2012 models--but then I have a long history with my dealer.

Yes. If Mercedes changes the price (either direction), my price will change accordingly. But my dealer will not make any extra off me for buying the newer model. And our trade (C300) will be the same amount regardless of the model year of the new GLK being purchased in the next 60 days. However, if I were to wait another six or seven months to buy a car, the value of my trade-in would drop (and probably much more than any new vehicle invoice price increase). Understand my logic now?

^No I don't, but I'm not that smart. Maybe I just don't know all details in your case, and I don't know what incentive dealers have now for new 2012 GLK (my guess none yet). There is nothing wrong if you went out and ordered 2012 the way you want it. Just don't kid yourself that you getting better deal financially.

Most MB cars are selling for invoice without any relationship with the dealer. If you truly have great relationship with the dealer then he/she should be able to give you very good deal on 2011 when time comes. Of course that means taking car of the lot and not getting exactly what you want. 2k under invoice is great deal but again I don't know all the facts. It's very easy to take 2k of your price and give you 2k less for your trade-in, you'd never know. When dealers clear inventory out, 2-3k under invoice is possible without any relationship with the dealer or trade-in.

Either way, GLK will be great.

Understand your comments, NYCGLK, but in our case we are very pleased with the deal. Originally we were going to get a 2011, but we wanted specific color and option combinations not available from stock (either at our dealership or for a trade elsewhere). So our dealer gave us the same deal for an early 2012. With help from MB corporate he was able to move us to the front of the line for 2012 production--with all our choices. Our trade would have only lost value as the months go by. And in four years, a 2012 will be worth more in trade than a 2011 model year. Cheers.

No changes to the NTG 4.0 in the GLK until MY13 (facelift).

Just made a change today. We decided to cancel our GLK order and instead bought a new E350 Sport 4Matic.

Also have an Audi allroad for those deep snow days.

E350 Sport 4Matic, Palladium silver, Premium Package 1, fold-down rear seats, trunk lid spoiler, chrome door handle inserts...

Paid about $5k below invoice. ($4K of that was Conquest cash, since we also currently own the Audi.)

Cool update...

I have my dealer (bought '08 C300 back in Dec. '07 earlier) quoting me with following options for 2012 GLK350:

GLK350W4 (4MATIC): $37,880

P01 Premium Package: $3,200

Multimedia Package: $3,000

Heated Front Seats $750

SUBTOTAL $44,830
DESTINATION & DELIVERY $875
TOTAL $45,705

Ready for this?

Dealer's 1st best price: $42,000 without CONQUEST discount! I think it should be around 36-37K Let me know what you guys think. By the way, he is going to check with his General Manager for a better price! Good luck to me.

Me too. Placed order Sept. 3, 2011. Was notified last Thursday of an opening in Bremen in late October. Delivery late Nov.-early Dec.
GLK 350 4MATIC. Virtually everything except the AMG pkg., h/K audio & PARKTRONIC.
Palladium silver over grey/black heated leather with walnut.
This will be Mercedes-Benz #1. What a long strange trip it's been since I sat in my first Benz back on Ought-59 or 60 or thereabouts.

ps: Does owning 2 Volvos count towards the Conquest Thingie?

Wayne
Waiting very impatiently in SE Texas.

@Wayne ...so how much did it run you? Please provide pricing. thanks! also, I think for Conquest, read following:

If you currently own and have a valid registration for any model from these manufacturers you qualify! BMW, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover / Range Rover or Cadillac. If you purchase or lease a new Mercedes-Benz vehicle you will be eligible for $1,000 towards that new 2011 model Mercedes-Benz. If you are purchasing or leasing a CLS or E Class vehicle from Model Year 2011 you are eligible for $1,500 towards that purchase. (SLS AMG vehicles and Sprinter Vans are not eligible for this program. Click here for source.

That's just not fair. I'll put my 2004 XC70 Turbo Stealth Suv Race Wagon up against any car for fit, finish, build quality, grin factor, you name it. My all time favorite car.
The paper work is at the house. I honestly quit looking at the price as Lisa was adding this and that. Then I went over the top with the lighting package when the salesman called to verify the order. With 5 years of maintenance, mbrace, sales tax and the lighting package on top of everything else, I know it's way on the wrong side of $50k.

................and hitch & mud flaps too.

you must be mistaken cuz you're getting quote on the 2012 model NOT 2011. asking $36-37k is bit too much for 2012 don't u think?

i have $1k under invoice for 2012 thsu far and that seems pretty good UNLESS someone know a dealer elsewhere that can beat that for the new model.

2011 should be gettting 5-7k off MSRP for sure.
