SD card playing music
This is actually a problem that has always been there, but I didnt bother to ask on this forum. But now, I really couldnt stand it, and would like you guys to help me out.
I use the PCMIA interface on the 2010 GLK with a SD card to play all my mp3 format music, but I dont know why, for some files, this will happen (illustrated by the pic), those filenames on the pic cannot be played while when I scroll down, there are files with the same name but playable. Does anyone know what cause this problem???
Any help is greatly appreciated!!

good point...possibly corrupt files.
maybe re-format your entire SD card and re-copy the mp3 files.

I should clarify, the files that I show on pic are duplicates, when I scroll down, the files are playable without the ._ in front of the file names
Here are a pic to show my pt, like the corrupted file and the normal file name coexist, while the corrupted files are unplayable, the normal file names are playable.

MBWorld Fanatic!
What format are the files and what are their source(s)? My files, all MP3's and all made from commercial CDs and converted using Windows Media Player, play perfectly.I've read that iTunes files, for example, are sometimes problematic.

Do you use a Macintosh to copy your mp3s to the card? If so Mac OS X creates these additional files for its metadata (file attributes) especially if the card is dos or ntfs formatted. The files are harmless, but the reader in your GLK can see the folder and thus display those files.
In Unix "dot" files are understood to be hidden from the regular directory listing. In everything else, they are displayed.

There are several links I found and verified on my macbook pro running Snow Leopard(except the $$ one)
These explain and give a few commandline examples of getting rid of the files:

One of the links in those posts led to an app that does this for $15 bucks:

So I'll sum up if you are familiar with the Terminal.app. Try the command:
dot_clean /Volumes/<PCMCIA NAME>
