Do you find your heated seats useful?
I never had heated seats prior to our GLK. I never really gave it much thought except to say that I thought heated seats were for those who lived in very cold climates and therefore not something I needed in our moderate climate area.
Well, bingo. Both my wife and I totally enjoy the heated seat in our GLK. They are a godsend during long days on long trips. And between trips we sometimes just hop in the car and go for a drive, just to turn on the heated seats and relax! Who would've thought!
Having just laid that down, I should confess that both my wife and I are in our 60's and probably need those comfortable heated seats more than you youngsters out there. Heh!![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Love heated seats.
My wife has a short commute, and the heated seats in her car are very nice for the several minutes it takes for the interior to warm up (basically, about the time she gets there).
Also, I like it cool, she likes it warm. Between the dual zone AC and heated seats, I can have it at 66 on my side, while she it toasty warm with hers at 70 and the heated seats on.

The wife's BMWX3 has both heated rear seats and heated steering wheel and so miss that option on my 2012 GLK. I see 2013 GLK in Canada has a heated steering wheel.

Right. It only gets cold in Canada. It never ever gets cold in the Lower 48 of the U.S.A. Furthermore, folks from the U.S.A. never ever travel to Canada during the winter. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Mercedes-Benz doesn't get North America. Dumb!
Canada also gets cargo tie down points on the floor behind the front seats. We don't. So if you fold the seat backs down your stuff is free to move about the passenger compartment.
Volvo builds their vehicles for North America. When Canada asked for daytime running lights and tie down points in wagons & SUVs, we got the same.
Dumb Mercedes-Benz.

Love my heated seats!
Tie downs?? I have them on my 2010. Did they stop putting them on later models??

Our 2012 has 4 very nice anchor points behind the rear seat backs in the dedicated cargo space. Most useful. The two that are missing (and present in GLKs built for Canada & in my XC70) are located near the outboard rear corners of the front seats. These are useful for securing cargo when the rear seatbacks are folded down. It's a safety thing missing from what is otherwise a very safe vehicle.

I had heated seats in a Lincoln continental years ago. I would turn them on when it was like 10F or below but only for a moment or two because even at the lowest setting things could get too hot fast. Recently was doing a test drive of bmw's and the salseman always was cranking the seats up to level three (it wasn't that cold out maybe around 30's) and I couldn't turn mine off fast enough. When we did order our GLK they had to come over to us again to double-check that "we didn't want heated seats!?". No thanks haha.

Nice thing with the MB heated seats, they step down over time.
I get in and hit "3" on the seats, and starting driving. As the engine heats up and the cabin starts to warm up, the seat heater auto-steps to 2, then 1, so you don't get overheated.
Very nice!
