2013 GLK - Burl Walnut vs Alum Interior
But I also have seen pictures of the beige MBtex interior with Burl walnut. It looks great in the pictures, other than the fact there is a burl color, beige color, black instrument color, and brown dash/steering wheel/storage console. Maybe too many colors?
Has anyone gone with the beige and burl walnut interior or seen one in person? Is a cheap looking wood? It seems some manufacturers do a great job with wood interiors, some definitely not. Thanks.
Nick

Anyway, Palladium exterior & Grey/Black interior with walnut trim suits our taste. However, I would have picked the open pore ash trim in a heartbeat if it had been available.
Whatever floats your boat will work for you.
Enjoy!

Kinda like the difference between the luxury and sport models of the c-class. Sport has the MB emblem inside the grill, and luxury has the emblem on the hood.
Personally, I like the luxury side of things, so I went for the wood (burl with almond/mocha interior).

Not aware that there is more than 1 Aluminum trim. By the way this is a SPECIAL ORDER with a $250 fee.

1- Dark Ash Wood Trim (option 736)
2- Burl Walnut Wood Trim (option 731)
3- Aluminum trim - longitudinal grain (like Q5) (option H79)
4- Aluminum trim - structured surface (option 739)
I am surprised you were charged extra for Dark Ash, as I assumed any of these were available at no charge. Obviously not in some cases.
I do think the alum trim is sporty, and the other reason I am leaning that way is going with black seats, alum trim, and then getting the black roof liner.
It looks every bit as good as the four Jaguars we have had, which all had real wood trim.
Now here's my opinion. I like wood, aluminum looks cheap to me. But my opinion is not relevant, everyone has different opinions and yours is all that matters.

So, is it?

On the 08 and 09 C sport version, wood was not available. Many were buying luxury models and changing the grills just to have the wood.
All MB wood trim is real. They bond high quality veneer onto an aluminum backing for safety; it will not splinter in an accident.
