GLK250 - -listed as 2014 model?
Just got confirmation from MBUSA for European Delivery on 5/21. In wading through the docs, they refer to mine as a 2014 model. Is that a typo or is that how the 250's will be imported? I also have confirmation that mine is either in line building or is done this week.
We're not much over 2 months into 2013 and yet I'm seeing this, and other makes, that are already talking about 2014's. Anyone have real knowledge of the and not just speculation?

And just what will the VIN # say that would confirm that? VIN as I recall only gives you a 'release' date, presumably leaving the factory, and other info relating to the factory location, and the accessory equipment, not the model year Mercedes is attaching to it.

Do you have you vehicle specs listed?

Have no idea from the specs. I've never seen any specs on any car that give that information. My E350 BlueTec didn't. However, I was told by the dealer that they are regular tires, no spare, with a flat repair kit, and ability to call M-B on their emergency system in the car, if I needed help!!!

The 10th letter or number of the VIN tells you the model year of the vehicle. Note that this may be different from when it was manufactured, as many automobile manufacturers start to produce next years model this year. Find the model year by matching the 10th digit of your VIN to the table below:
A = 1980
B = 1981
C = 1982
D = 1983
E = 1984
F = 1985
G = 1986
H = 1987
J = 1988
K = 1989
L = 1990
M = 1991
N = 1992
P = 1993
R = 1994
S = 1995
T = 1996
V = 1997
W = 1998
X = 1999
Y = 2000
1 = 2001
2 = 2002
3 = 2003
4 = 2004
5 = 2005
6 = 2006
7 = 2007
8 = 2008
9 = 2009
A = 2010
B = 2011
C = 2012
D = 2013
E = 2014
F = 2015
G = 2016
H = 2017
J = 2018
K = 2019
L = 2020
M = 2021
N = 2022
P = 2023
R = 2024
S = 2025
T = 2026
V = 2027
W = 2028
X = 2029
Y = 2030
1 = 2031
2 = 2032
3 = 2033
4 = 2034
5 = 2035
6 = 2036
7 = 2037
8 = 2038
9 = 2039
As you can see, each letter or number has been assigned to two different years. To find out which one applies to your VIN, you must look at the 7th letter or number in your VIN. If the 7th VIN position is a letter, then your vehicle is made in 2010 through 2039. If the 7th VIN is a number, then your vehicle is made prior to 2010.

2010 GLK 220CDI 4M BlueEFFICIENCY
The MY 2014 will be relased in June, so orders placed in these days will most likely be 2014 model deliveries.
Among the news is availability of the M274 gas engine, 211Hp / 258lb/ft / 31MPG mixed driving, new color and loss of some "goodies".

Mine was built in October of 2008, purchased it in January of 2009 and it is a 2010. Loved it because it was new (year wise) for almost 2 years

Just received the official invoice from Mercedes-Benz indicating an MSRP of $38,590. which includes the 4Matic.
All options are the same MSRP as listed for the GLK 350's.
I still don't know if it will be registered as a 2013 or 2014 as their earlier invoice indicated it is a 2014 model. I truly don't give a damn which it is!
My '85 190D is registered and called an '85 but was built in October, '84. The serial number shows the build date, not the model year indicated on title.

Where on your invoice does it show a model year? There isn't a place on my invoice for it and no place else on the document is it indicated, and it's their regular invoice.

Hmmm. Mine doesn't show that and an earlier invoice DID show 2014. This one says:
"GLK250 BlueTEC 4MATIC
2.2 Liter Turbocharged I4 Diesel Engine"
Oh well, doesn't matter, que cera, cera!
