My local dealer has 2013 GLK 250s on his lot marked at $2,500 under sticker.

Is this offer for the factory order as well?
Can you buy a diesel car in Massachusetts?

The new diesels are approved by all 50 states.
The $2,500 off is my Florida dealer. The windshield displayed a sign with the $2,500 off and new selling price, not sure if they would go deeper with this model. It is somewhat surprising due to limited inventory.

If its a base car its below invoice, if its a loaded car its right around invoice so unless we know the MSRP your statement may or may not be true. And as for matching ED price, that would be up to the dealer you are working with to see if that is possible.

No way a dealer can match the ED price. Their off the MSRP mark up is 6%. They would have to make it on the hold backs and there are no guarantees for that, but then that varies by dealer.

The ED price is 7% off the MSRP, which is about the invoice price. Dealers get their cars for under invoice. Plus factory can have other incentives. When 2010 GLK came out most of us got it for invoice and some got it for under invoice. MSRP is just there to anchor your expectations so you ALWAYS get a good deal and feel good about it. Of course as economy improved, dealers became less willing to negotiate.
2.5k off MSRP is ok give it just came out, but not that great, I would wait a few months or wait until Nov/Dec and get left overs for invoice or under.

It IS true, unless dealer has special incentives from M-B, or the holdback increases based on volume. At 7% the dealer still has to pay a commission to the sales person and totally rely on the holdback and other dealer incentives for any profit at all. Makes no sense without the dealer incentives.

There is "invoice price" and there is a true invoice price. Of course MB dealers get volume discounts and sometimes incentives from MB.
MSRP of GLK has been increasing every year. There is plenty of money to be shared between MB and its dealers.
Maybe pricing became much more aggressive as demand picked up, but a year or two ago, picking a new MB for invoice wasn't that hard if you find right dealer and right time. People were getting 10-15k off AMG cars.

2015 E63S AMG & 2013 GLK350
As others said a lot depends on MSRP but I ordered mine, granted its a gas job, and when it came in without much hassle they took $3,975 off MSRP ($49,175). For a base model I'd shoot for closer to $3k but at least $2,800 and go up from there.

As another data point, I bought mine on the second to last day of April (took delivery yesterday) for 8.8% off msrp + $500 "shipping" fee, which is essentially 7.7% off MSRP. The dealer told me that the only reason I was getting this deal was because they were trying to make their numbers for the month and the last Saturday of the month was a complete washout. i was explicitly told that if I waited past the 30th to buy it the deal was not valid. I feel like I got a good deal. Invoice is about 7% from MSRP. That number +/- 1% is a fair price.

Euro Delivery price has little to nothing to do with Dealer cost. Dealer's do make a profit when they handle one.
I purchased a 2013 in August which was discounted 12.1%. I did though pay a $699 DOC fee which is pure profit. I also purchased pre-paid maintenance which carries a profit.

Invoice price for 2013 GLK250BT
The invoice on a GLK reflects more closely a 9.3% markup. In addition, the dealer has a 3% Hold Back which is calculated by subtracting freight from the MSRP.

I've got an email from Edmunds.com with Invoice price for 2013 GLK250BT. According to them: "...The invoice price is $35,889. We should have full pricing on the site by the week of the 20th..."

2010 911 Turbo Cabriolet, 2014 Mazda3
Just leased a 2013 GLK250 at a MA dealership, the numbers are as followed:
24-month, 12K/yr
MSRP $44,615
Sell Price $40,000
Residual 32123 (72%)
MF 0.00205
Total Out-of-Pocket $1,750 (includes 1st payment, acquisition, doc/tag fees)
Mo. Payment $513.66 (including 6.25% MA tax)
I could've probably done a little better and dropped the payment slightly below $500 if I tried a little harder. But the entire negotiation process was painless and haggle-free (all through emails within a 6-hour period) and the dealer had very quick turnarounds for all of my questions.
The car is scheduled to be delivered to me today. Super excited! Can't wait to test its long range capability over July 4th weekend!

sorry for the newbie question. Can you tell me which website you used to initiate the deal. Did you just send the dealer an email offering X for a particular in-stock car? I've never tried negotiating over the internet.
Also which dealer in MA, I think you got a pretty good deal.
