I just had Yokohama YK580's in 255/50/19 put on our's...they are way better than the Dunlop's that came on the car...quieter, much better in the rain and did good on the ice we had a month or so ago.

2010 E CLASS COUPE 350
Thanks, I know by going to a 255 there are many more tires to choose from...plus the 8" width of the rims should be fine...did you notice any clearance problems with the 255's? Brian

In NA, the stock 20" tires are as follows (BA means both axles):
BA
235/45 R20 100 H XL M+S
8.0 J x 20 H2
Wheel offset: 1.77 in (45 mm)
BTW: If we can use wider tires and rims without interference, that would mean we would have a much greater chance of picking up a used set from an ML coming off lease. Wonder if the offsets are same? Diameter is slightly greater for usual snows which are 235/65R17.

Some more information around the stock 20" set-up we run here in Europe / Sweden.
Front: 8,5 x 20" ET 45 / Rear: 9,5 x 20" ET 57 with the the tire set-up mentioned above.
I have the 4matic feature on my GLK. The front and rear circumference is withing 1 to 2 % so no worries...
We use the same GLK body as you guys in NA....
