GLK your 1st MB?

Is your GLK your first MB, or just one of many?

I chose lost count because there was no other option. The last option should have been for >3 benzes.

We never lose count of cars we have owned!

I got my first back in 1970, a 1968 280 sedan in ivory w/ red interior.

I remember that the automatic shift setup was backwards, meaning P was down where low gear usually is and vice versa.

Neat car...

Not taken delivery yet, but yes, GLK will be my first MB, and my first foray into a "luxury automobile"

My 12th Mercedes

My GLK is one of my favorites and the distinct chiseled styling is the end of an era for Merecedes. Maybe it is just me but MB is starting to look more like all the Asian cars - just generic bubbles.

Agree 110%. New ones look like '90's Ford Taurus'. Back in the day everyone tried to emulate the MB look, now it seems things have reversed. Old school vs new school management. Happened to my company also which had a lot to do with my retiring early before I got into trouble.

my first and quite likely my last. Never thought I'd 'hear' myself typing this but I've had far more enjoyable experiences with my VW's over the years.

It's not a new thing; the first ML looked like a Ford Aero Van...

Was my first and based on my experience I hope it won't be my last. Wife is in love with the "S" class. Told her the "E" was more her size.

Yep. The GLK was our 1st and was the gateway drug to our 2nd, a 2014 ML350.

Just 3.5 years ago we had a 3-Series and an X5 50i.

Total conversion!

Like others, I chose "lost track" because there was no other option. When we take delivery of our 2014 GKL 250 BlueTEC in a month or so, it will be our seventh M-B.

This is a great question and I see that I'm in the majority having the GLK as my first Mercedes product. I think Benz has hit the nail on the head with this model and has me considering an SLK as well.

Thanks to my GLK, I've been looking the SLK pretty seriously, too.

And to think... my first car was a 1964 Chevy Corvair. Long, long list of cars since then; some good, some not so good. Still love my 2004 Mazda RX-8 though.

Yep, first MB after many years of BMW, Audi and Porsche. So far so good. Like others it's the different styling that I like best.

2010 GLK350
My first post, and yes my 2010 GLK350 was my first MB! The styling really appealed to me and the SUV platform is almost a must here in Edmonton with our crazy winters. I went to see the one I have now on the lot and it had all the options I wanted, so I had to jump on it quick!

I was looking at an SLK too but the GLK is much more practical.

Here it is after a nice waxing last summer:

I came from domestics, and we still have our 2006 smart fortwo cdi (if you want to consider this a Mercedes, then the GLK is actually my 2nd!)

My first oil burner, and 4th Benz. I suspect that my next MB will be another diesel. I really find 30+ MPG to be quite addictive.

My first MB and definitely not the last! Trying to talk the other half into trading in his car for a MB, not sure which one yet.

Not new to the luxury lineup though, 1st car was a Jaguar XJ6...loved that thing even though it felt like it spent more time in the shop than in my driveway!

My first post and first MB, as of 3 weeks ago. I've always enjoyed the German automobile experience to the Japanese, having had multiple VWs throughout the years and one Audi versus a few Japanese brands. We were in a position to get the GLK350 and are having no regrets about our decision. Now if my wife would just let me drive it a little more.....
