My GLK350 (2010), on Gloss Black AMG wheels

Just got my wheels powder coated Gloss Black (as well as white accents on AMG on rim) which came out looking great. I had plans of doing the grill and all chrome on the car black as well. After giving it some extra though however I feel the car looks clean as is. All I am thinking of doing is taking the roof rails off, and accenting just some of the other chrome areas black (under the trunk, around the fogs, beneath the windows) but leaving the grill as is. Thoughts?

Taking off the roof rails will be a pain. Just black them out if it is not yet all black (2010) A lot of people who has the black roof rails or doesn't have the roof rails wanted to get a the alum. and a lot of work is in place like pulling the headliner.

Just leave it like that even though I don't see any picture....where is it by the way?

I've read threads of people getting leaks when removing the roof rails but the place I'm getting my car worked on is top of the line. @MCCustomsMiami check out their Instagram page. It's going to cost a pretty penny but you get what you pay for right.

If I were you just blackout the alum rail. Will give a accent on the top of the car. You can also platidip it first and apply a clear gloss to make it a little shiny so that if you changed your mind about having black out things you can always peel it.

Looks good! I went the opposite route & installed the aluminum roof rails & 2013 accessory pkg. wheels. The original 2010 19" wheels had the car looking dated. I have a set of black rails I am willing to sell at a very reasonable price but they do not have hardware/gaskets. The headliner does have to be dropped to install them.

Did you end up swapping out the rails?
