Howdy folks. Just took delivery of our 2014 GLK 350 yesterday, polar white with tan interior. Love the car.
We did NOT get the media package, and therefore don't have a backup camera. we were going to check out Best Buy this weekend to have one installed. Quick Question: Does the GLk 350's Navigation/radio console have open/extra inputs that would allow a backup camera to be installed right into the factory unit? I really don't want to have a separate screen installed for a backup camera if I can avoid it.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I personally would not let Best Buy touch anything I own, but to each his own.
I have searched and have not found much of anything on installing a backup camera in a 2014. There are some write up and recommendations for previous years, but not 2014 as far as I can find.
I did find a site that sells the factory parts needed, but they are in the UK. Given that our cars are all made in Germany, it is likely that the parts will just fit.

If you did not order the Multimedia package you do not have the same head end unit that includes the Navigation screen and back up camera. Therefore you do not have an input for any other devices other than those included in the Premium Package if you ordered that.

If I were in this position I would replace the rear view mirror with one that has an integrated display, so when you put the car in reverse it would show up in the mirror.

If you did and you were willing to loose the compass, auto dimming, down and console lights I guess that would be OK.Originally Posted by mikedr

Compass is silly. You'd lose some lights. Not auto dim. Originally Posted by MKenM

We're talking aftermarket. Always pluses and minuses.

i saw this today

i would be most interested in the module and wiring harness. i plan on getting the eom handle handle/trim and doing a wireless transmitter for the video feed because i don't want to deal with running cables thru the car
edit: here it in getting installed in a benz
