Dual USB retrofit
Did the retrofit since mine was broken, did all the usual steps of checking fuses and wiring and determined that mine was broken. I placed a call to the dealer and they wanted $80 for the part, Amazon had it for $60, but at the end of the day I hated the adapter sticking out and wanted a cleaner OEM look for something more useful since the wife does not smoke. I bought the dual USB port from Amazon for $10. 99 with prime and it took approximately 10 minutes to install, I used the factory wiring plug from the old cigarette lighter for the install.
So if anyone has a broken from 12v then this is an alternative for you, the install rating is beginner/novice level so everyone should be able to do this.

Thank you. I didn't tap into a different power supply after testing it out, seems it didn't supply enough power for the 5v, so u tapped the rear consol power outlet which is the red/green stripes power line, brown is still the ground. Charges much faster now.

I watched a youtube video on how to take the console apart. It went well after using a fair amount of force. I removed the lighter socket, and swapped in the dual USB outlet. I also wired in the little bulb module with the plastic optic that supplied light to the ash tray/change tray. I just hot glued it to the new USB outlet in the same place as it was on the lighter socket thus retaining a light in the ashtray.
Thanks for the USB/Lighter replacement idea!

No worries. Check to make sure it's giving you enough power, I ended up tapping into the power supply of the rear (red/green) since it give me a stronger power supply

There were a couple of tabs on the lighter socket that had to be compressed to get it out of the tray. They were tough, but since I was not using the socket anymore I just used some force.

I just broke mine apart since I was throwing it out anyways, but there are tabs to compress if you are replacing it with another factory unit.
