Prepaid maintenance - misses by a dealer
I purchase prepaid maintenance and my dealer (Silver Star, Montreal, Canada) did miss recommended brake fluid change at 2 years (30K) mark.
This year they missed on fuel filter and sunroof cleanup and lubrication.
I was contacted by dealer to provide a review for my recent visit.
And I wrote:
Last year (at 2 years, 30km) Brake fluid change should be done as recommended by MB Canada (source: http://www.mercedes-benz.ca/content/...ance.0003.html)
But unfortunately is was not done.
This year (at 3years, 45km) Fuel filter replacement should be done and it was missed again.
Also, lubrication of the sunroof. Much less important than fuel filter, but nevertheless.
As a GLK 250 2014 owner I prepaid for car maintenance to have a peace in mind, but it looks like there is a chronic problem in how maintenance is done and car owners must be always alert and make sure nothing will be missed.
I truly do not want to have any issues with MB warranty and I would like to maintain my car for safety and longevity reasons.
This is rather sad as one would think Mercedes is a premium car maker.
Respectfully your,
MB car owner.
This is just a suggestion/warning to fellow MB owners to be diligent and make sure all work is done.
I have to say that I use to own Toyota and never ever had any issues. It was fast and furious service all the time.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I have that issue, I think it's probably rushed mechanics. I was supposed to get wipers replaced twice, now I take scissors and cut an angle into the corner so I know they are new, and I mark the filters. But how did you know brake fluid and fuel filter were not changed?

Again, please note that in my case they didn't cheat on me, but just negligently forgot.
