Water pump pulley failing

Can see it occasionally move in the video, I'm guessing I will have to change out the pump. No other symptoms. Anyone have water pump pulley issues similar to this?

Looks like bad bearings in the pump. I would get it replaced before the seals go and you blow coolant all over the ground while it over heats.

Exactly this. The water pump is gone so replace it ASAP.

Thanks, was going to replace the tensioner and belt and then noticed the pump pulley. A new one is on the way.

did you hook the battery up? Do you mean it won't crank or it won't start?

Well if you run the video bop11, the engine is turning over.

SAZ - Check if you may have disturbed some wiring or tubing.. Would have to be something that affects complete ignition or injection.

I took out the secondary air pump during install and put it back in. I took that out again just now to see if any of the wires and hoses were lose but everything visually appears connected.

My best guess is that some electrical connector was dislodged in the process of changing the pump/tensioner. And it almost certainly has to be setting a code in the computer. You need to hook up a mercedes aware OBD2 scanner to see what the complaint it. That should point you to what needs attention.

Maybe camshaft position sensors? I don't know engine, but they should be somewhere on each side front of engine. I know the crankshaft Position sensor will prevent car from starting (but it is usually at back)

I didn't have anymore time to play around with the car, took it to an independent mechanic. He confirmed the ESL issue, ordered and installed the part.
