yes vin decode. you can also ask the dealer, they will go by vin and tell you which fluid your car takes. We used the ECS kit when we did two GLKs. I like the ECS kits, they are put together with all MB parts/fluids.
You can also inspect your trans pan to know with decent confidence which fluid your transmission uses. Red/blue or normal/low viscosity. Vin is your best bet (I only know this as mine is due in about 10k)
