2010 Glk350 electrical melt down?
seems to have lots of power and EVERY system is sending faults to the dash, cruise inoperable, etc etc. Wipers were trying to wipe and turned off, lots of weird and wonderful.
I checked the battery voltage with a meter and it said 12v. I tried my boost pack and it sucked it from 100% to 86% in a minute and still no click nothing..I removed the battery and put it on charge, my smart charger said it was low. But it load tested ok, low but ok?.
Fuses look normal in the engine compartment box.
my wife said she was out by it one night and thought she smelled electrical burning but when I got there I couldn't smell anything. It's been very wet here lately, but I cant see anything melted or burnt yet.
any suggestions? Anybody seen anything like this?

ot loads tests ok, but a little weak, it's on the charger. It's an agm, just under 2 years old. Cables clean and well greased.
wife smelled burning electrical, that's my worry.

still concerned about the electrical burning smell. I'm wondering if sitting in really humid conditions without running for a few weeks if the starter relay has some moisture in it and being inside the garage allowed it to dry out? I'm going to replace it at any cost. Definetly a weird thing.

Low battery can cause all kinds of other faults, normal. But what are the generic codes?
No, there should be no electrical fires caused by humidity but do you have rodents chewing on wires while the car is sitting outside?
if all thet checks out I'll clear the codes again and take it for a little drive and see what codes come back and then dig into them.
Get the codes read to see what tripped.
if you do the regulator polish the commutator with 400 cloth sandpaper. Hook up a drill to spin the alternator, a two person job.
