Hello everyone,

I just bought a 2010 Mercedes GLK and I am already a fan of this car. However, I am experiencing a problem with Bluetooth connection.

Indeed, I am able to connect my phone to the car to make and receive calls but I am unable to send music from Spotify for example.

I found some people offering tutorials to access the Engineering Mode in order to activate this option, but all these people have different interfaces from mine.

Does anyone have an idea of how to solve this issue?

I thought about trying to update the Engineering Mode, but I do not know how to do it.

Thank you in advance for your valuable help!

Leo

Is there a jack for a cable in your glove box or center consul ? If so try plugging into that . The 13 supports blue tooth music, I don’t know about the 10. If your phone works you would think music as well.

Unfortunately there is no jack connector.

My 2010 has a jack in the glove box. It's an odd one though. It came with a cable which connects to my old style iPod. The jack is on the left side wall in the middle about one inch above the bottom.
It works well with the iPod. Info appears on the screen and is controllable with the existing buttons.

My 2014 GLK that I recently traded in in order to hear the music via Bluetooth I had to change the input source using the menu on the display.

I too have a 2014. When my phone is paired to the car I can play the phone through the aux input wirelessly. I don't use it that often, but all you have to do is start the app and press the "Disc" button a couple of times. Sound quality is quite good.

Hey John, noob here.
I have a 2015 and although my phone is paired, I cannot play music (Spotify) wirelessly from my phone via aux input as you have described. System says "No Bluetooth Audio Device Connected"...
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'm not understanding this... you are mentioning trying to play music wirelessly from the Aux input. Aux input is for plugging in devices via a cable (wired) and Bluetooth is, by definition, wireless.

That makes two of us. I'm trying to understand what John CC means by "I can play the phone through the aux input wirelessly"...

And to @MBKLUE ... check my reply in this recent thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/glk-class...ml#post8806552

And check the first screenshot ... be sure Bluetooth is selected ... no hardwired connection required ... or "Aux" selection ...

So I kept farting around and managed to get it working. Don't ask me how as I have no idea but another tab with nothing but a square appeared between the BT Audio and Media tabs. All good.

I had a look just now but I'm not understanding what that has to do with your reply in this thread.

Ok, young'uns, to me, if it's not AM, FM or phono it's Aux.

Not too good making videos, either but:

Or posting them, I guess. Google must be banned. Try this:

Seriously consider buying this https://dmpcardesign. com/product/facelift-android-widescreen-touch-screen-x204-pre-facelift/
It brings the 2010 car into 2023 era with a large screen for maps and music, etc.

Which adapter did you use? The link is dead and I’ve tried Bovee and another. They connect but can’t see anything in the car, nor hear anything, nor play anything.
