Crankcase vent location and removal
#2
It's not straightforward. These engines are not 1963 Chevy small blocks.
One PCV tube is a flattened shiny black hose on the right/passenger side cam cover at the front of the engine. You need to map out the PCV network and remove all of it, and install a catch can system.
A crankcase ventilation system is mandatory. Blocking it off overpressurizes the crankcase and will fail gaskets and seals. Removing it and not capturing the effluent means you will have oil seeping everywhere and gasoline and oil fumes underhood.
Maybe @S-Prihadi can offer suggestions or a diagram on the PCV components for the M276 3.5NA.

Are you replacing the PCV ? Did you diagnose it as bad? How? Because at those miles it should be good.
it took a friend mechanic 5 hrs on my 2013 , it’s way in back.
why couldn’t mb make it a 30 second , 5$ job like on an old American v8? Instead the part is about 250, and labor a lot. MB would probably charge 1000.

^agree^ on the “it’s in the back” comment. The “centrifuge” aka oil vapor separator is the main PCV component at the rear of the right cylinder head. From memory there are two or three hoses that run into the intake at various points.
From centrifuge to front of right cylinder head (flattened black plastic pipe) is the main PCV route.

I'm not sure how complicated or different it would be on a 2013 GLK!!! MINE IS A 2011 GLK350 and I changed out all the PCV component. The one in the back is a little tough due to space but I was able to change it. Also the hoses on the left side and oil separator as well. It's not that difficult just a bit time consuming. Bought everything at FCP euro. Mine wasn't that difficult but mine is a 2011.

Black "centrifuge" at the rear of the cylinder head. The black flattened tube can be seen running forward and is visible at the front of the engine on the right/passenger side.
