With the low supply of GLS' in Canada, for those who actually are expecting delivery or already have your vehicle delivered, can you tell me is delivery usually on time or late, and how late?
Do you mean it's usually 3 months later than the delivery date that the dealer tells you? Wow!
Our original delivery date was early December and now our sales agent tells us that it may be later in December. At first he said it may be earlier, like late November but now he thinks it may be late December. But the vehicle was in production since Sept/Oct!
Usually 3 months from Production till Shipped to in your case Concord. There might be varying factors though that delay productions depending on options etc. On avg it's about 3 months.
Thanks everyone. We've already waited a very long time and if it is an extra month for delivery it isn't so bad. After reading some posts it should be worth the wait!
I ordered my GLE450 in May 2019 towards the beginning of the month and my car will be ready for pickup in 2 weeks. Way to excited. Currently in a 2017 gle 350 and my lease is up. Below is my build:
Not so much a trade in. It will be a lease return. My 17 gle was a custom order also. It is selenite gray with blk interior. Is 4matic, premium 2, airmatic, natural brown ash wood, 20 inch rims, panorama roof, multi contour massage seats and that’s about it. Just about to pass 40k miles on it.
I got a 2020 GLE350 as a loaner today while my E300 was in for service. Nice car! It rides nicer than my E300 with those damn run-flat tires.

I have had a GLE 350 on order here in Montreal since first week of July. Anyone have any idea how long this might take to get here.
Dealer doesn’t answer any of my emails Are there Production problems? Im supposed to start driving to Arizona for the winter in mid November.
need to know so I can make a decision. If it is too far past November, I may have to cancel car or fly and come back which would suck
Your dealer will know when it is to be produced and delivery will be 3-4 weeks later. Yes there were production issues but primarily spring to early summer. AFAIK Orders from July onward should not be affected.

Well, drove over to the Dealer last week and tracked down the Manager. He confirmed my car was built Oct 21., but
my GLE is still on the ground waiting to get on a train to come to Canada. He said it used to take 3 days to get shipped,
but now it’s taking up to 3 weeks. He said he can’t get me a Vin until it gets loaded on a train which I think is BS.
all he can say is there must be transportation problems. Car was ordered April 9. Its now Nov 12. Probably wont see it
until end of November. Not impressed at all

Hi there. Long time lurker first time poster. First off I wanted to thank everyone for posting their concerns, advantages and disadvantages of the 2020 GLE 450 on this site. You've definitely helped me in making my decision to purchase this SUV.
So anyways I took the plunge this afternoon to purchase the vehicle at my local Mercedes Benz dealership. When I showed the salesman my spec sheet he plugged a few details into the computer and came back a few minutes later with the General Manager. The GM explained to me that there's a good chance the GLE 450 will no longer be produced going forward and will be replaced with the GLE 53. Of course I was disappointed and when asked him why he believed this, he stated out of the 10 2020 GLE's he's sold in the past year only 5 of them were produced while the other 5 were lost in transition. He also stated that these 450's were slated to arrive this past March and here we are in mid November and they still haven't arrived. The GM apologized profusely and stated that although this hasn't been confirmed from corporate, he's seen it happen before. He also stated he'll try and find out from the corporate office what the chances are that they'll accept and build further 450's. From this point the salesman then proceeded to try and "down sell" me on a GLE 350 (which I test drove and honestly it felt a bit less refined then the 450).
At this point I don't know what to think. The GLE 350 is a less expensive vehicle and although I might be naive I don't believe the dealership is trying to deter me or rip me off. I also believe that Mercedes is having a difficult time keeping up with all these 450 orders and possibly production and quality has suffered as of recent. I've read quite a few complaints online about people having various electrical issues with there GLE 450's. I definitely don't want an SUV "coupe" like the GLE 53 that can't make up its mind whether it's a car or an SUV. I much prefer the design of the GLE 450.
What do you guys think? Do you believe the General Manager is talking smack? Do you think there's a bait-and-switch awry? Do you think I'm posting in the wrong forum? Thanks.
She is gorgeous. I have the GLE 350 with night Package in Metallic Black on order. Was built Oct 21 but still sitting in Alabama for some reason.

Dealer cant give me a Vin # which concerns me. Spoke to him last Thursday and said he sent a email to find out. It’s Tuesday and he hasn’t even
got back to me. Seems to be no communication at Mercedes anywhere at this point. Getting real close to leaving for Arizona for the winter with my
Jaguar F Pace and cancel this order if I dont get an answer soon. **** guys. Just tell me the truth so I can decide wether to leave or not.

killagram, visit another dealer and start the process from the beginning. After you spend time with them talking about your desire for a GLE450, compare what the two dealers tell you. Sad to say, the car dealer industry is riddled with consumer antagonistic practices. Examples bound on a daily basis, for all vehicle brands.

customers who dont get return phone calls or email usually go somewhere else. Having owned a buisness for 37 years, I know. He he worked for me
he would be fired after doing this a few times. Im stuck as I ordered it the way I wanted with alot of extras. There are none like on anyone’s lot. Hardly any -anywhere. What’s worse is im really stuck as we have a winter home in Phoenix and I’m stuck here in Montreal. If I was here for the winter I would just wait it out. He told me it was made Oct 21 but cant get me a vin # which is BS. Vins are created just before they are built. I think it wasn’t built yet. If he would judt be honest and tell me. I would head to Phoenix and take the car in May. And he knows our situation.
Well if I don’t cancel the order because Im stuck. He wont likely see me again. Already told him I was interested in the Plug in Hybrid thats coming out late next year. Guess he doesn’t want the sale.

October 21 as he said 2 weeks ago and to tell me the truth even if its bad news. We want to leave for Phoenix for the winter and cant
wait months more if it isn’t coming very soon. He actually did finally call me and confirmed I was correct and he has 10 GLE ‘s on order
and no idea when they will be made or when they will be shipped after they are made. Mercedes is a disaster in the US plant in Alabama.
in April there were thousands of cars out in a lot waiting for parts to come in. Im pretty sure they are still doing catch up on those.
Be ware anyone who has one on order, that it could take a very long time. Their website says about 3 months. Mine was ordered July 9
its November 20 and not made and no idea when it will be made. There are so few on Dealer lots and most have None at all. So I cant
find anything even close to what I ordered. Black with Night Package and 3 major packages.
So now I have to leave for Phoenix for the winter with my Jag F Pace that they were taking on trade and they we’re giving me very fair
value for it. Now he says we have to wait until I come back in May to value my car. Well we know where that’s going as I will put 15000 kilometers on it by then. Will hit end of warranty at 80000km. I will be the big loser here for sure. I want this car bad but obviously not a happy camper. Well at least he finally called and told the truth so Im good with him now
