How to find out the terminal of battery and disconnect it?

I will leave my GLS 350d inside garage for two months. I would like to disconnect the negative terminal connection, but do not how to find it and how to disconnect it.
I will appreciate it if someone can show me how to do, it will be better with photos.
Great thanks.

You might consider using a battery tender instead of disconnecting the battery. You'll be unhappy when you find our where the battery is.

I could do you a picture, but since your steering column is in the wrong place it wont be the same as mine.

Just in case they mirrored it : open the hood (or bonnet, or whatever you call it) and look at the top of the inside of the inner wing : you should see a metal pin there, about 4 cm long and 1 cm in diameter : that's the earth connection for the jump starter cables. There's a think black wire attached to it. Follow it straight back inder a plastic cover (upper right corner of the engine compartment) ant it shouuld be there.
That said, disconnecting the battery is a bit of a last resort. Use a conditioner when at all possible.

My dealer quoted US$ 180 for a "Mercedes" battery tender.
I bought a Battery Tender Plus on Amazon for US$ 45. Your choice.

Better yet, since it desulfates yhe battery it can more yhan double you battery life. Worth every penny. Furrhermore, since it a general purpose model you can use it on any battery type.
