2021 AMG GLS63W4S OPENS FOR DEALER ORDERS NOV 21
Here in the US the "2021 GLS63W4S" Opens" for Dealer Orders November 21 - a Maytag kind of moment since other than the Netstar features that will open up on the Configure screen at that time - so spinning our wheels a bit this week on this one.

Will there be a DOG? I have a 580 on order for next year that’s nearly fully loaded. I’m curious how the AMG compares in price.
Is that something I can ask my dealer yet - is the Netstar up for this?

When? When it’s released.
Will it have errors? Yes.
Will it have prices? Mostly.
Will NetStar reflect the DOG? Mostly.
Will mbusa.com be updated? Yes, but not until long after.
Can you ask your dealer? Yes.
Will your dealer know more than you about it? No.

If you're not familiar with the engine choices MB offer, you might go to mbusa.com today, click Build, click GLS (https://www.mbusa.com/en/vehicles/build/gls/suv), and be presented with a big picture that says "2020 GLS". Then you'll see three models listed: 450, 550, and 63. Not unless you notice it says "4.7l" and "5.5l" engine (or know the 550 morphed into the 580) will you know that that is not the X167 2020 GLS 580 or 2021 GLS 63, it is the old X166 GLS. You'll also note the 580 and 2021 63 aren't even listed in "Future Vehicles".

The Energizing pkg is still a gimmick.
Nice alarm system enhancements.
I wonder what they mean by “the enhanced intelligent hands-off detection includes sensing via the Touch Control Buttons”.
Yay for keeping the SPEEDSHIFT! Yay for USB-C, 115V, hands-free access, Exclusive Nappa.
Boo for Burmester! Go back to B&O. No porcelain leather?? No heated wheel with Drive Unit buttons. No HUD with Burmester 3D. #sad.
Why are DA3 and DA4 optional?
They really shouldn’t advertise the ultra range headlights since they are disabled in the US.
What about car wash mode??
I sure hope Michelin is ramping up their 22 and 23” tire production!
A few it’s vs its typos.
The sinGLS search-and-replace error still isn’t fixed.
I’m definitely ordering one!
