Acoustic package and mobile phone signal
We took delivery of a new GLS450, with the acoustic package, in mid February.
my wife has noticed a significant drop in her mobile phone signal. She drives in areas that had marginal T-Mobile signal before she had this car, but now says instead of one or two dead areas she now has a good 40% of her trip with no signal.
I know the acoustic packages does interfere with RF because of the widow coating. In fact they tell you there are only two places to put your EZPass If you want it to work.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I’m pretty sure it’s the newer system. On my 2018 s63 and my wife’s gle 450 if we shut the Bluetooth off it works fine. When Bluetooth is off we have problems. No change of the phone is half out the window. Try using it in that area without Bluetooth and see what happens. My 18 gls 63 has no problems.

hmmm.... I'll try that with her.... but... if you hear someone scream "WHAT THE HELL????" that's my wife screaming that in a brand new $100,000 car she has to shut off bluetooth to make it work -- which means she can't play her music back without connecting a cable -- and then remembering to turn it back on (yeah right) after she gets out of the car.
