Extended warranty
We are thinking about purchasing a GLS 580 and would like to get extended warranty. I heard about the 7year bumper to bumper 100k warranty. Is that still available? Can I purchase it from Mercedes directly? How much would that cost?
thanks for any input!
You can purchase Extended New Car Warranty for the Dealer you buy your 580 from - or within 30 days from purchase date you are free to buy that Extended Warranty from any Mercedes dealer who gives you the Best Price - often mentioned here is Jeff at Tafel/Mercedes Louisville

This is my first post on this extremely enriching forum, please bear with me. I hope everyone is staying safe.
I have leased a Demo 2019 GLS 450 early this year (right before the pandemic started), and currently it is at 8000 miles. It seems the Dealer did the first round of A1 Service before the delivery and so the B1 Service is due now. I was wondering if I should buy Pre paid maintenance. I plan to lease the car until the lease term which is until Feb 2023 and for the max miles < 40K miles. But I do plan to switch the car after the Lease term is over. With the Pandemic and my car usage the miles are not going to even reach the 40K miles mark.
With the Current Odometer readings, I don't even foresee myself driving 12K miles in the next year or so. Could anyone guide me in which prepaid maintenance plan I should Get and an approximate price I should be targeting?
Thank you so much. Be well. Please do let me know if I should provide more information to help.
Thanks
Mayank

So is your car 2020 or 2019? This forum is for the new 2020/21 x167. It was first produced end of 2019 ish. So you might have the previous model or you have a 2020.
If you search the forum (or if you are 2019, the one for your car), you'll find lots of recommendations - maybe even the actual rates for the routine service.
When I checked for my car, the cost was same as the actual cost of the service. While prices go up, for my priorities, it wasn't worth it. But if you can find a deal on it, then it might be worthwhile.
