Looking for dealer recommendations in San Francisco Bay Area
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a dealer who can help me with a 2021 GLS 450 purchase here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I've reached out to a few via email (not really looking to go in to a dealership right now) but email doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere.
If anyone here has worked with someone in the area (or even a bit further out) over email - would love to get a recommendation.

I'm in Palo Alto. I have purchased two GLs from Autobahn - I like to negotiate and they have worked with me both times. You should be able to get close to 10% off a new GLS 450, and 6% off a GLS 580.
When I negotiated for my new GLS 580, I also reached out to Mercedes in Pleasanton and in Monterey. neither of them could compete with the pricing I was able to get with Autobahn. Both reps from the other dealers told me I was getting a great deal and they could not compete.
The rep I'm working with is Franz Krieg, who has worked for Mercedes for like 40 years. He is about as German and no nonsense as you can get. franz.krieg@autobahnmotors.com

Thanks. My kids and I took our 2011 GL and our Airstream for about 15,000 mi this summer all the way to the East coast and back, visiting more than 20 national parks. The San Francisco Bay area has among the lowest infection rates in the country but also people are just super stressed out with tons of anxiety compared with everywhere else we traveled. The infection here is also very localized, with some ZIP codes being hard hit in others being relatively plague-free. We've had 100% mask compliance indoors and 90% outdoors even exercising on trails, for months, so getting shut down again is really a huge blow. I feel terrible for our small businesses.

Kudos to you Daddy-O! I'm sure you have many wonderful pictures 
It's hard for me to get a general sense of what is exactly going on out there in terms of the plague......my family and I have been very isolated since March and don't plan on changing that any time soon.

Hi @mercedesmax - looking to get pricing for the specs I want and order one out of stock if possible or custom order if required.
FYI, I wouldn't expect a big discount. Inventories are tight right now.

Agreed. Even better option is to schedule an in-person meeting at the dealer. That's what I did. Face to face means a lot! They remain open despite our plague lockdown as car dealers are considered essential businesses - like weed shops. The process was very fast and easy - we spent 30 minutes together and the deal was done. 6% off MSRP for a custom-ordered GLS580. I didn't try to negotiate for a GLS450, but two of our local dealers were offering 10% off MSRP for either on-lot or custom-order GLS450s without me trying to negotiate. Also make sure to pick up the additional $500 factory cash discount via your employer or by joining the mercedes-benz club of america.
