2021 GLS 450 rattles and creaks!
Received my GLS in February. We have since had to have the entire panorama roof removed/reinstalled because the track was loose and rattled. Driver side window had a whistle, new seal installed(didn’t really fix issue) BUT the back bucket seats rattle when no one is in them. Dealer told me it is normal function of seat. I don’t believe it to be normal to have a rattle/shakey seat when not in use. Especially, in a 90K vehicle not even 6 months old. Any past/present issues with this. Looking for a fix! Sensitive hearing and it drives me crazy.

Dealer is full of BS. No car manufacture designs a vehicle to rattle, not since Yugo... Ours is completely silent other than when the kids are in the back, and still waiting on God to show me how to get then to be quiet!

as for OP's problem, make sure it isn't something in the center/armrest compartment rattling. i had an ipad mount in there that rattled over rough(er) roads during our last trip and i thought it was coming from the back seat.

We have had creaks almost from day 1. We are now at 28 days of being in the dealers work shop, with them trying to fix it.
They have replaced every seal in all the doors and windows, nothing is working!
Our problem is, if you drive slowly over bumps it will creak. Not really what I would expect from a $93k car.
So now we have some mbusa team coming out to try and fix it. Not sure how that is going to work.

The whistle in drivers door is likely not window. Long standing known issue to hundreds on this forum. It’s likely the mirror - try opening the window when you hear it and it’ll likely be worse. Mine was at 2 dealers 5 times without a fix - they looked at seals and replaced mirror housing which did nothing. I finally fixed it myself by buying a mirror black housing cover on Amazon/eBay for $70. Took it away instantly. There is some microscopic gap in mirror housing that causes it to whistle at 60 mph+.
Agree that they should be built better and care more when stuff like this comes up.
I myself am still waiting for a company to make a set of after market wiper blades to get rid of the chatter the original blades cause on my windshield in the rain (bought 3 sets of authentic blades - all the same)

What'd the rattle sound like? We've had a 2022 GLS450 for a couple weeks and there's been an odd noise from the start. It sounds like it's coming from inside the dash but really tough to pinpoint - and it doesn't sound mechanical but more "electronic", like if you'd scroll through a menu on a phone or something. It's clearly not a normal noise, as it's random both in timing and severity and typically happens going over bumps. I've attached a video with a sound sample....

Trial and error to fix a whistle, I recommend you take blue painters tape and put over portions of the mirror that might be gaps, one at a time, then drive and see if whistle disappears. This way you can self isolate the cause.

100% agree.... very disappointed in my 2021 GLS450. Rattles, creaks etc. Had to eliminate many of them by myself and took quite a while... but still some remain.
Captain seats are crappy. Rattling... noisy...
In general, low assembly quality for a $100K vehicle. My last Benz for sure...
