Here are some pictures that may help with making the swap:

may need the wiring harness (unsure if any BCM or other computer would need to be activated).

Myself and others also wanted to add this feature. Please keep us posted. I ordered the winter package but it did not include the heated cup holders or heated steering wheel…

ok, this unit has 2 plugs. One plug for ambient light(same as for regular cap holder)second plug has 4 wires. Two wires are positive and negative, two other wires, I think for can bus signals.Gave power(used just two wires) to cupholder, worked just 2 sec then turned off by self
Now I’m looking information about location of two units. Rear SAM module and Front central operating unit.

Does anyone have the instructions/diagrams on how to remove the center console to replace the cupholders? Thank you!

Didn’t have time to post .
I’ve installed cup holder, but should have been activated.
In my Snap-on scanner I went to rear sam module, but unfortunately couldn’t find option to activated the cup holder ( didn't show up on mine scanner).
went to the dealer and they didn’t find anything about activate the cup holder.
Then bought rear sam module from GLS that had heated/cooled cup holder, but anyway didn’t have the luck.
Game is not worth the candle.
