I recently installed a new CKS panamericana grille on my 2022 GLS450 X167. I documented the steps as it may be helpful for others, please see attached pdf. The grille installation required the removal of the front bumper assembly: I have posted the steps for that separately in this forum.

While I love the Mercedes community, it doesn't seem to have the same DIY enthusiasm as my old Saab groups. I'm starting to get the itch to bloody some knuckles.

Hi - thanks. It takes a good full afternoon, will go quicker if you have a helper. Complexity? well its just those steps noted, no complex sub tasks (eg "now go replace timing chain and come back to next step"): I'd say its about as complex as changing brake pads/rotors (on a non rusty new car that is). Definitely just a competent DIY /not a skilled mechanic level.

HELP!! @clunker and @all, did you guys have any issue with the front 360 camera misaligned? I bought a grille from ebay and followed this guide installed it myself now I have two issues.
1: (BIG ISSUE) My front 360 camera is angled up and the 360 camera stitching is way off, cheap grille issue, I don't believe re-calibrating will fix this.
2) There is a gap formed between the hood and grille edges.
Also, massive thanks to clunker for the guide!

Are you sure you didnt flip the camera? i have cks grille and the front cam looks fine.
does the grill you bought from ebay matches exactly the clunker guide as far as screws, taking off..etc.. if you compare the picture..etc..
...no issues with fit or camera or cruise radar on CKS grille. The grille in the picture you posted looks slightly different from the CKS grille, which has a small tab for an AMG badge (which I did not install) on the vehicle left side - did you use another brand grille?

Yes, my grille is from some crappy chinese ebay seller. Lesson learnt… The camera mount on my grille looks cheap and have a screw on the top right and bottom left of the camera which seemed kinda stripped already.
But its great to know CKS grille does not have that issue! Did you DIY or professionally install?
