GLS Wireless charger and wireless CarPlay setup, Done!
Hi,
I finally managed to get to FULL wireless setup with a wireless charger made for GLS and the wireless CarPlay adapter I mentioned here. I ordered the wireless charger for GLS from AliExpress and it was delivered in two weeks. It fits quite decent and I think it will hold well. The wireless CarPlay is nicely tucked under the wireless charger. Quite happy for now.

Does the wireless carplay come full screen or a limited area like it come by default. If it comes full screen then which adapter you have ordered. Please let me know. I am looking for full screen car play.

The CarPlay functionality is same as with the wired one, no change there. It is in the limited area only.
It fits in the car with the useless original wireless charger?
It is for the car without wireless charger and without heated/cooled cupholders. I'm sorry, I don't know where the original wireless charger is fitted. My car didn't come with it due to chip shortage.

For wired system, the phone must be plugged into the USB port for CarPlay to work. So Wireless CarPlay would be very convenient. With the adapter installed, once car boots up, phone will automatically connect to car. Plug and play easy to install.
I purchased a CarPlay adapter from carlinkitlife.com, it's pretty good, no issues so far. I installed it in the center console, so its totally out of view and connects perfectly. Exactly like wired carplay!

There's another cigarette lighter? In the photo I see the flap on the right of the cigarette lighter but it's not being used. Could you show where you power the wireless charging pad?
Also, how is the wireless carplay dongle treating you? Is there any audio lag or stuttering that is worth mentioning?

The same cigarette lighter with the flap is used. The plug is very flat and hide well beneath the flap.
