2018 G63 debating GLS 63

OK
The G63 was my dream car and when they changed the body I had to get one so I bought a pre owned 2018 about 6 months old.
I've loved it but Im getting tired of feeling like I did in my lifted Wrangler UL Rubicon.
I want an S Class BUT it's not an option as I tend to load up my vehicle with boxes for my business quite a bit and the G63 is barely big enough.
I am looking online and they are still quite a bit over MSRP so Im looking at a 22.
Im also debating just getting the GLS 580 but if I go with the 580 is it worth adding the E Active Body control? (it's standard on the 63 isn't it?)
Anyone here go from a G to a GLS? If so, any regrets?
Also any idea how long a new order is taking these days?
Thanks!

E-Active Body Control isn't stndard on the GLS63, in fact it's not even an option. It uses a totally different suspension called AMG Active Ride Control+. Same idea though, active anti roll bars using the 48 volt suspension. Just no bounce mode or curve mode.

Yeah I really can't decide Ive always heard the AMG's hold a better resale.
Part of me says get the 580 and air ride and call it a day but part of me loves the growl of the AMG
Heck the 450 does 0-60 in 6 second, not that long ago that was considered QUICK.

If you have a 63 I think you need to go 63 or 580. Can't speak to the GLS, I'm still enjoying my 2018 G63 but no way I'd drive a heavy tank with anything less than a V8. 450 makes me think soccer mom. Good luck.

I have a 580 with E-Active and love it. In comfort mode, it’s great for around town, absorbs those speed bumps and potholes so much better than my E63S AMG. But bump it up to S+ and it hunkers down, the engine note improves, and for its size and weight, it holds the corners very well. I can carry much more speed into and through a corner than I ever could in my prior GL350. It also monitors your speed and other parameters and will drop into Sport mode momentarily for a high speed corner, even when you’re in Comfort mode, which is a nice feature. I’ve never driven a G class but I would imagine it is as good or better in the handling department. I buy an SUV primarily for the Utility part, so having a usable 3 rows of seating and all that storage space is what keeps me coming back to the GL/GLS class every time. The 580 for me is most of the way there to the 63 in terms of looks and handling, with plenty of power but better utility. “Not too hot and not too cold, just right” for me.

Oh I wasn't thinking of getting the 450 LOL just stating how even its quick for a SUV.
The MB dealer tried to talk me into the Maybach they have but I told him unless he is offering to be my chauffeur Im not interested.
I have no interest in getting my 9 year old used to riding in a Waybach LOL

How does the ride of the 63 compare to the 580 with E Active body control?

I really like the X7, the ride was much nicer than the GLS580 with E active body control.
The GLS is a bit more comfy but the materials and finish seem better in the X7
They are really both great SUVs but at this point Im leaning towards an XB7

I was not able to drive the XB7 but went for a ride in it, test drove an X7 M60i. I have not been able to find a GLS63 to drive.

Being in Michigan where our roads are horrid the ride really matters

Unfortunately with our roads in Michigan if I go with the XB7 I will get the 21's, as cool as the 23's look the roads here will eat them.
