Tire pressure

Hi, does anyone know how to show the current tire pressure on a 2022 GLS 450? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t seem to find it!

Thank you!

2 ways I know of:

1 - Use the steering wheel buttons (from the middle of the cluster) to Navigate to "Service" then to "Tires".
2 - You can configure the gauges to show tire pressure. For me, I'm in "Classic Mode" and on the right, I have the Tach, with the Tire Pressures/Temperatures in the middle of the Tach, and Oil/Tranny Temp Below the Tach. Again, Steering wheel buttons to navigate/choose.

Thank you. On my steering wheel, there is a touch button on the left which controls the drivers side screen and a touch button on the right that controls the center screen. I’ve tried scrolling through all the options using the left button and for some reason, I can’t seem to find it. Using the left button, I can control the 3 “panels” that is in front of the driver/behind the steering wheel. But I don’t see Tire Pressures as an option on any of the 3 panels.

if I look at the center screen, I don’t recall seeing service, but will look tonight. Is Service one of the main headings like System and Comfort?

thank you!

Yes, to get to service, go to the middle screen and I think you nee to push the home/back button to get to the list of options. From there, you should be able to scroll left/ride with the steering wheel button and select service.

For getting it on the side panel, pressures are not a stand alone, but one of the options to place with the tach on a side panel. Perhaps mine is different (AMG). But I put the tach on the right, and then can swipe through some options to go with it.

In non-AMG models you can only see the tire pressure under Service | Tires. As said above, press the Home button on the steering wheel to get a menu like below and then select Service. Then select Tires and once there you can swipe up/down with the touchpad to toggle between resetting TPMS and showing the tire pressures. In AMG models the tire pressures along with vital temperature information can be displayed on the right side of the cluster as shown below, but that's not available in non-AMG models.

Hi, thanks again for your help. I just tried looking for the Service menu and I can’t seem to find it. Is it hidden? I’ve tried pressing down on the right steering wheel “cursor” button and also Home and nothing shows up.

Thank you!

This Home button? Did you turn on the ignition first?

Yes, I’ve tried the Home button on both sides and nothing comes up for me. And the ignition is on. Although I don’t have the AMG version.

thank you!

Watch this video. Note, this is a right hand drive vehicle, if your vehicle is left hand drive, you need to use the opposite side of the steering wheel buttons.

Hi, thanks for the video! So on my car, a 2022 GLS 450, when I press the Home button, I don’t get the pop up of the various options. I see Service in the video and know what you are referring to, but that row of icons do no show up on my car! So weird! Anyone with a 2022 GLS, non AMG experiencing the same issue or is it me??

Thank you!

Yeah something isn't right here. Below is the page from the owner's manual describing the exact steps we laid out. The one thing is in your case the Home and Back button are likely combined like in my C63. The picture I posted above is from a car that doesn't have DISTRONIC. Are you sure you are pressing the right button?

OP, it might help if you can take a picture of your steering wheel. That said, I think what forum member superswiss showed with the combined button was indeed what you were struggling with assuming as mentioned you have DISTRONIC. Not sure if this works as well but try using the voice button or "hey Mercedes" and ask her "Tire Pressure" if that brings it up, as mentioned as well, your vehicle might have the Passive TPMS, meaning it used the ABS etc. to determine the tire pressure and only will show an error if there is a significant difference in the tire revolutions then it will tell you to check tire pressure, in MB it is called the Run-flat indicator. On AMG models on the other hand, it has the Active TPMS with the real time tire pressures.

Thank you everyone for your help. It was totally my mistake…I was trying to get it to display on the main screen and so was pressing the home button for that screen instead of the one for the display behind the steering wheel. Pressing the home button for the correct display, I do get the Service menu and can see my tire pressure.

thank you and my apologies for the back and forth!
