The MOST honest benz guy on Oahu is Hubert Herman, used to work for German car service then quit and went on his own. I am not sure about the newer models but is super on older and a great honest guy. 682-1956.

Years ago when I moved here I had a diesel, took it all over the mainland including Mexico and Canada. Started smoking after a few months here and I figured I needed injectors... Hubert had me use some fuel cleaner and I was on my way. He could have done an injector job and I would have been happy.. Much happier I only had to spend a few bucks. Been taking Benz to him ever since. His shop is in Cambell.

If you are in the hawaiian islands. Doesn't matter what Island you are on. You are driving the wrong car. I just sold my sl55 and bought a R8 audi. The service is the best.

No kidding lol, I havent seen any car meets either. There are some nice cars over here, but it doesn't seem like they ever get together.

 

LOL...there's no consensus or continuity in EFI...as long as you got electronic fuel injection...you qualify to join them.

 

A-1 Euro is who my friend, former MB Honolulu sales person told me to go to. He said Nan is SDS trained annually and does same dealer service at a fraction of the price.

 

Man... We need something like Club Lexus for our Mercedes on the island. I agree, this should be a call for All MB enthusiasts.

I totally agree. I think the lack of MB enthusiasts is probably due to the age of the membership. Most of the guys on ClubLexus is younger...max in their 40s. My guess for the MB owners is the max age is 60s? LOL.

 

Ah... No excuse !! lol but I agree, you're right. Club Lexus brings out a younger demographic, maybe sportier, easier to get " in "to / mod rides, I was surprised when we started getting bigger.
I know CL Hawaii was quiet before. There were only 4 or 5 of us meeting steady, the last meet I went to, there were at least 30, I don't even know how much now.
But that's all it takes... 4 or 5 people to start something.

 

Very few MB fans in Hawaii our age. I assume most of us here are in our 30's and a minority. I think those who can play in this league prefer a BMW over a MB in Hawaii. Everyone else drives a MB owns a Korean Bar. LOL.

 

LMAO!! You're right...most want the power of the bmw. But MB is much more exclusive...you don't see too much newer MBs around. Lexus has become the new Acura from the 90s....esp the 2IS model, its the Acura Integra from back in the day...LOL!! Seems as though BMW is speed demon crowd. I see alot of military folks driving BMWs.

 

Ah, well, last time I posted I was in Iraq..now I'm in Afghanistan. lol
PHML, I'm one of those Military guys that switched from BMW to MB, while BMW was going through the ugly 5 series phase (My opinion), they looking better now though.
Really though, I'd love to do a get together. I s'pose I wasn't online much while I was home to push anything, now away, I have more time to think about..uh, should have done this that n the other. I'm gonna book mark this page and hope more MB enthusiasts (or BMW?) start talking about a little cruise in. When I get back, I'll surely be there.

Seeing anything thats a new E class and above is like seeing a rare animal in the wild. At least out on this side of the island. Even now that i drive one of those rare animals, I still pause and stare when I see another. Kind of like when I used to see a 2GS.
I didn't go with BMW because it was a dime a dozen. Kind of like the 2IS is now.
