If you want diesel drivers to get lung cancer, or at a minimum, you have no sympathy for them, don’t let EV drivers live by the coal power plant that charges them.

From wikipedia: "The average share of electricity generated from coal in the US has dropped from 52.8% in 1997 to 19.7% in 2022."

I do feel guilty for helping save the lives of fat pigs who drive diesel trucks. If only we could make an polluted city just for them and ship them all there so they can gag on their own fumes until dead. Oh well, a guy can dream anyways...

100% of mine is coal. The coal comes in on MASSIVE diesel trains......Every local E car is a coal vehicle (with a few sides of diesel)

Fossil fuels currently provide 60% of electricity, of which 16.2% is coal. Wind and solar provide less than 15%. Nuclear is close to 20%. Nuclear is by far the cleanest, but also by far the energy source most despised by the clean energy fanatics.
Also, airlines operate almost exclusively on kerosene which is nearly identical to diesel. Sometimes you have to take the baby with the bath water.

Lucid is still struggling to make it for sure. But a startup that fails isn't as surprising as a giant multi-national corporation that's failing miserably:
Quote:
The Stellantis car giant — which includes Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep and Peugeot — on Wednesday reported a 70 percent fall in 2024 profits against the previous year because of troubles in North America.
https://fortune.com/europe/2025/02/2...es-ceo-search/

Anywho, I say put your money where your mouth is and invest in legacy auto. They're building more diesel super doofus/duty pickem up trucks so what could possibly go wrong? I'm going to keep betting on EVs though. Today is going to be another good day for me.

Glad I didn't sell at $22.22

The key word is FUSION. The federal corporation (aka duh gubmint) is really good at helping Israel drop 2000 pound dumb bombs on Gaza refugee camps full of women and children but disposing of nuclear waste properly isn't as easy as killing unarmed civilians.

Nio's sales weren't so great though. I hope the nuclear thing works out for them but at the moment it's just a money pit. Xpeng, on the other hand, is now selling almost as many EVs in China as Tesla.

You really should stop listening to the fake news on TV. Tune it out and turn it off. It's just confusing you. Here's what really happened at Ford:

Quote:
According to FoMoCo’s December sales report, the automaker sold a grand total of 51,745 Ford Mustang Mach-E crossovers in 2024, compared to 44,003 Mustangs – a rather large difference of 7,742 units. The Mach-E also enjoyed a 26.92 percent sales increase year-over-year, while the Mustang dropped by 9.47 percent versus 2023.

I don’t listen to fake news. I look at sources that are undervalued, or under appreciated.

I'm laughing all the way to the bank buddy!

How about listening to what Ford themselves are saying:

Quote:
Customers favored Ford’s electrified vehicles in 2024, driving growth and setting record sales for the year. With 285,291 electrified vehicles sold (HEV, PHEV and electric), sales were up 38% in 2024 over a year ago, exceeding the sales of GM and Stellantis.

I have to give Ford credit though. They managed to increase gas car sales too by .2%. That's not 2%, that's 2/10th of one percent. But that's still better than most automakers.

Red day for XPEV today after hitting $27 yesterday. I really think this one is going to $50 so not much to do here but wait. I might actually buy some Ford though. Their commitment to electrification when everyone else is being wishy-washy about it really impresses me.

I think these results validate my thesis that the way to make money, in the current environment/market anyways, is by keeping the factories operating near capacity, not by selling a few overpriced cars. Only Rolls Royce, Ferrari and Lamborghini can pull that off. Jaguar and Mercedes can't. The Mona is a dirt cheap EV yet margins improved.

Anywho, since only people who drive diesel trucks seem to be interested in this thread, I'm going to stop posting here. I'd rather talk to myself in private than on a public message board. Bye MBWorld!

Your thread gets a lot of views, even if it doesn’t get replies. I can see quite a bit of interest in following your thread. If you quit, don’t use the excuse that there is no interest, because there is, from what I can see. 60 views per reply. Way above the 8-12 views per reply of the average thread. As Churchill would say, don’t give up.

There really isn't much else to say... but if you Republicans really want to **** off Democrats show Elon how much you support him by selling your diesel and buying a Tesla. That'll teach 'em!

I'm probably going to trade in my 2025 Maserati Grecale Folgore for a 2025 Rivian R1T quad motor (with 1025 horsepower) later this year so will be hanging out on those forums. Maybe I'll cya there.

Man, I would be careful with that. A friend of mine bought I think a 2024 made it about 2 months and it has been a yard decoration ever since. Nobody knows how to fix it at any price point.
