I was just wondering what your guys thoughts were on the koenigsegg CC, i think its a beautiful car...its amazing what they were able to do with it...it basicly wiped any other car manufacture in the rear end.. to check out the video go to their main webpage and dl its awsemone--i think i have a new car added to my favorite list and one knocked down..yikes !

anyways what are your guys thoughts ?

i think it's a billion times nicer then the SLR and i sure rather have that over an SLR...now if you gave me that or mclearen--it be the hardess decision in my life.

I think McLaren is much prettier. I will take the SLR...I dont like Koenigsegg CC interior at all, that just sucks.....Of course I know SLRs isnt much better, but thats just my opinion....

id take the mclaren f1 any day over the Koenigsegg. so what if the top speed is less then 1 mph faster, the mclaren 'in my opinion' is so damn sexy its #1 on my dream list. the only part of the Koenigsegg i like is the way the doors open, but the mclarens doors are hotter.

and about the SLR, its not even a street legal race car like the mclaren and Koenigsegg. its a comfy GT and if i or anyone else that can aford the mclaren iam sure they will have enough pocket change for a SLR to cruise with on a relaxing day.

Also the CC has more to offer then the SLR and as far as status i dont think you can really say MB has status anymore in my opinion-all these new C,E,M,CLK class cars are just jokes, just another way to market their product but all these cars are failures to a true MB owner whos had several over the years. My father loves the w126 and after that he stoped buying MB, he dosent think they are worth his money, im sure theirs many other pp out there that feel the same way but i dont kow you have a C class, you can get more and better if you get yourself a cadilac better yet a 3series bmw. haha sorry for being so annoying but yes i know some of you guys are going to say i get a MB cuz of safety welll volvo is just as safe and a bmw, you guys might be saying why is this guy talking trash about mb if he has one... well the reason is cuz i want people to tell mb how we feel that their quality has gone down and we are not going to purchase anymore cars untill they get their acts together with design and reliability!

 

a koenigsegg cc would be a nice race car if you could aford one.
I like the mclaren F1 and its 3 seat layout.
But if they would ever make one a bugatti veyron would be insane.

and egutie6970 i dont own the "sickest" "fastest" exotic car or anything, just a simple c280, and i am happy with it and it treats me good, i couldnt have got a better quality car for what i paid....period.

 

Just my opinion, but I think that a koenigsegg CC should not be directly compared with the SLR. The CC is a focused hyper performance car that is totally impractical for anything day to day. The SLR on the other hand is a comfortable hyper GT car. And actually, around a track the SLR is faster than the CC! Top Gear proved it. I think that MB did an excellent job with the SLR. Yeah it doesn't live up to the old McLaren F1's performance, but it more than makes up for it in everyday driveability. Besides where would you drive the CC at 244mph anyway let alone the SLR at 208. Put simply, I think the SLR is worth what you pay for it and I would take it over the CC. Again, just my opinion.

Whoa. Let me break this down for you, son. The Koenigsegg weighs almost half, HALF, of what my SL600 weighs. Approx. 2076 lbs LESS than my SL600! It has 162 more horsepower, and I put out 37 more pounds of torque than it can muster. Stock, mind you-- not counting my MKB. And price difference? Surely you can do the math. But, since I've done everything for you so far, why stop right? $165,000 more, granted I rounded my 136 down to 135. It gets a full second ahead on the 1/4, with a pro driver-- that is.

So, your trying to tell me this car can beat mine? It sure as hell better-- look at all the advantages this thing has against my SL600; from weight, to HP-- the only thing I have on it, is a mere 37 lbs of torque to make up for an extra 2076 lbs, and 162 HP. Real fair, huh? Can you imagine my SL600 with the same amount of power? :v

And price? For 300K this thing better destroy my SL600-- in all aspects, failed with torque, and with my MKB, looks like it failed elswhere as well. Im willing to bet, give that vehicle to the rich joe smcho who would own it, and I guarantee until we hit triple digits, I will be ahead of him.

A tone of Sarcasm pherhaps? Or, complete honest opinion-- if it is, I must say you need a reality check, the Koenigsegg is not a bad car by any means. Some of the members are just stating that they would rather have otherwise, which is not to be confused with it being a bad vehicle. For some reason, everytime someone asks another person: "Hey, C6 or E55?" And that person picks the E55, its suddenly "because its a Chevy." You American Muscle fans need to understand, we dont hate you guys, we just prefer the comfort and grace of a Mercedes better-- at least thats my view on the subject. Koenigsegg, not a bad car, just rather have my own, also, my post above, I was responding towards a member who involved me in his posts saying the Koenigsegg smokes me, like its news.

Thats possible, however, I was going by the fact that the title is:
"Thoughts on Koenigsegg CC" Not CCR, also, as this member who started the thread continually posts "CC" instead of "CCR". Thats why my comparison. And even with the CCR-- Im still giving the rich Joe Schmo a run for his money. :v

Unless its some guy like the man I know with an F40. I think average rich joe schmo would have problems with a Zonda, which is made to be the Hypercar that can function as a daily.

 

I love the CCR. It is an amazing piece of machinery. I love the McLaren, and there are obvious comparisons, but the Koenigsegg is a much better car. It handles better then the McLaren(look at slalom and Lateral Acceleration), is faster in a straight line, and still costs 1/3 of what the mclaren did 10 years ago. A no brainer IMO.

 

I own my car because I couldn't afford an sl600, sl55, e55, cl55. I am a raw power fan. If it is n/a, it ain't enough...

In my price range I was limited to a used m3, a used c32 or a new cobra convertible that would smoke these cars and be brand new to boot. What would you have done?

 

A C32-- but than again, thats my personal preference. I like the style and grace it offeres, which the Cobra does not. Again, my opinion. Albeit not the fastest, nor the rarest, but all the more desirable.

 

Koenigsegg CCR KILLS the SLR....

 

The CCR is an impressive car, but until they let any serious mag test it, all info is factory info..


The CCR was on 28 of February tested on Nardo. The managed a speed of 387,87 kph. The outside temp was only 8 degree C, and that was very good for the aspirated engine.

That is actually not faster than the F1, that have run 392 kph.

So basically we can say they are exually fast.


Straight line acceleration is probably very close to.
When tested in 1993 the F1 did run on 17" tires ( 315/45) and still got.
0-62 mph in 3,4 sec
0-125 mph in 9,4
0-200 mph in 28 sec.

Put up to date tire on it and I doubt that the CCR will take it in acceleration. either.

That is also a lot faster than the Enzo , the Zonda, the SLR, and Lexanis SL600

Those times to require a hell of a lot of skill, so its possible that Lex is going to take the lead, but that lead is NOT going to last a long time

And no Lex, we have been thrue this before, a stock SL600 will NOT reach 62 mph in 3,6 sec.

If you ask me who I would choose for a weekend of fun, I take the F1 any time.

A Norwegian guy took delivery of his CCR a couple of weeks ago, he paid more than 1.000.000 US dollars for it..

But anyway the CCR is an impressive car, even more so considering it is made by a Swede........
