Arsehole in 350Z smacked down by C32

I'm cruising along in the modded C32 with my wife after lunch in Mission Valley today. We are stopped at a light. To my right, there is one of those lanes which continues on about 50 feet after the light, and then merges into mine. This black 350Z pulls up behind me, and then proceeds to pull into the right lane, obviously with the intent of "showing me the power of the Z" by merging into my lane in the short distance before his lane ends. My wife, who normally blows a gasket any time I hit more than 1/3 throttle, looks over at the greaseball in the 350Z, looks back at me, and gives me a quick nod, like "waste him." I was, of course, happy to oblige.

As expected, the Z drops the hammer, and I quickly responded in kind. It qualified as "Z-struction," as "Z-Beotch" ended up at least four carlengths back by the time that my car shifted to second.

I swear, those Z guys have a very bad habit of grossly overestimating the abilities of their cars.

(Also had a short race with a C5 on the freeway yesterday. Not really close. . . at least 5 cars from 70-105 MPH.)

New fish taco place in the Costco center (Where "Fins" used to be). Not bad, but not great either.

Is Mickey-Dees still around??? Of course they are! Personally, I consider Rubios the scourge of the fish taco places, especially after San Felipe (which is where Ralph Rubio supposedly got his inspiration) last weekend, with big-**** $2.00 plates of freshly-fried fish tacos with beans, rice, and full condiments (not to mention all the $1.00 Dos Equis that you can drink).

I will give Rubios this much. . . they are at least consistent(ly bad). Small pieces of cheap fish fried in rancid oil a couple of hours before you arrived. Eat up!! :p

Those 350z's will never learn their lesson. That and the fact the your car cost practically double theirs.

LOL! Yeah, they were pretty bad but back then, they were cheap. On my college budget (90% alcohol/10% food) they fit the bill.

Have you tried the trailer park in Rosarita Beach? Used to get lobster tails for $5.

At first I thought you were kidding, but then I realized that you are in Wisconsin

Fish are those things with fins on them that swim around and eat bugs. :p A taco is a tortilla which has been heated and folded around some meat (in this case a roughly 4" by 1" piece of batter-fried fish) with cabbage, salsa (please don't ask!), cream sauce, and a squeeze of lime. Some people also sprinkle cheese (I assume that you know what that is) on it, but this is considered a rookie move by the professional eating crowd.

The fish taco is the signature dish of San Felipe, Mexico (on the West side of the Sea of Cortez, approximately 150 miles south of the U.S./Mexico border). The fish taco has been Americanized by the "Rubios" chain of restaurants, which are in just about every major shopping mall here in San Diego. A couple of years ago, Rubios (which is publicly traded) made the mistake of trying to expand eastward, presumably into places like Wisconsin, which effort went over like a lead balloon, and resulted in the stock price dropping.

Just a bit of fish taco info for you.

Ya, I used to buy lobsters down there, until I found a piece of yellow corn in one and realized that they were harvesting the lobsters right where the raw sewage dumps into the ocean.

I paid $34K for my used C32 with 29K miles 18 months ago. The used Zs with comparable mileage were around $30K. Your "bargain for the buck" comment does not really apply to me.

You bet! For example, Campbells came to Rosarito/Ensenada a couple of years ago and gave away a million or so cans of tomato soup to the poor people. The local lobsters and oysters down there tasted like tomatoes for the next month. Some people would gross-out over this, I just view the seafood as "flavor-enhanced," and haggle for a better price.

Vomit, I had a 325i bmw try the same exact thing the other day, only more rude. Waiting for a light in the front of the single lane...i see him come up to my rear, then swing to the right onto the shoulder to pass my as the light changed. I really hate that. gone.

HA!

Ya know, this whole lobster fish taco thing..... Cracks me UP! I never really thought about the fish taco's being out of the "NORM" but i suppose when "TACO BELL" offers the closest thing to a mexican Taco or burrito. It all makes scense.

I try to head to Puerto Nuevo at least once every month-2 months. I must say, they are beginning to realize they can charge much more. A few years back, used to go with the g/f and order lobster after lobster after lobster, get the bill and it was like 50 USD. Now 50 bucks gets you nothing more than a margarita and 1 lobster each :-(... well it was fun while it lasted.

Not sure why, but the oners of those little "Z" and "G" cars are always trying to prove themselves. I think its worse than the BMW vs. Benz compitition thing.
