SL55 vs some Lexus

I was bopping home after an Ferrari club meeting in the SL(I know I should have driven an Fcar) hitting my favorite on ramp at around 120, when I come up on a large black Lexus sedan that was slammed, with a big exhaust. I slowed down as I passed him so as not to startle him. When I got about 150 feet in front of him, I saw him obviously punch it! So I let him get about 10 feet in front and I proceed to anhilate him. I slow down and he tries again. This time I don't let him even get started on his run at me. I slow down again....and sure enough, here he comes...........this time I give it a 10 second blast to 150 and turn him in to a dot. I slowed down again and he creeps up beside me and refuses to look over. Its strange how some guy's ego gets in the way of their enthusiasm.

I don't know of any clubs other than the national one, and I believe that they have a local group. I have thought about joining the national group and getting involved locally. What I have heard is that unless you have a Gullwing or some other classic, there aren't too many enthusiasts doing anything. I guess that is where most of the MB enthusiasts are...........unless of course they are AMG/// folks!!

That WRX you have wounds pretty wild. I've always flirted with one of those. Are they good cars.....solid feeling, etc. I know that they are quick and w/4WD they are set up to handle. But, given the stuff I have, do you think that I would enjoy one? Thanks.......

no would be to boring for you, get yourself an Elise!! They make supercharger/turbo kits for those things (if stock isnt enough), you will LOVE it!!!

I enjoyed it, great handeling and was fairly quick, but not to the extent of what you are used to.

I like the Elise...but I think its a bit overpriced. I have been looking into the Radical (http://www.radicalsportscars.com/ ). They are street legal in the Uk and now there are a couple that have been registered in Nevada. I have driven one at Parhump, NV and it was brilliant. Very involving, and huge fun!
