Can I ask BMW or other performance car guys....same with you??
Why is it you are CONSTANTLY challenged in a Mercedes.
Every frickin time I get to a red light....someone is trying to power brake it next to me to try to "get the kill"
Literally in order.
On the way to store
Land Rover almost rolls through a red light to get the jump on me....literally 1/2 throttle to get the kill on him if ya wanna call it that.
Next red light.....Celica, yes celica tries it....car front end is literally leeping up and down as the guy bangs gears...again 1/2 throttle disposal
Then store and I am kinda grumpy now.....wish people would just leave me alone.
On the way home
Jeep Cherokee with monster tires....oh no, here we go again.
3/4 throttle for effect....then he goes for the flyby....now I am pi$$ed, basically just messed with him. Had it in a lower gear, so just banged the throttle to blast ahead juuust as he was about to fly by, then slow down, allllmost flys by at 110...BOOM, punch it again and gone.
Next light.....I am in a rage. BMW pulls up next to me...I am looking at him like...COME ON F(&KER...you want some....COME ON... Poor 5 series guys looks at me like...."calm down dude, what's your problem". I get a grip and come down to earth....took a deep breath and relaxed.
Man, driving a Benz is whack sometimes. You just get challenged constantly.
This is literally like a daily thing for me.....
Most of the time, I just let them kill me as it's just not worth it...but days like yesterday, you just have had enough. Enough of people looking back at you like "yeah, baby, killed a Benz"...in 4 Runners and Grand Ams

I can ease your problem. Swap cars with me. Nobody ever bothers with an E430 with child seats in it.
Except for Mini Coopers. 3 different Coopers in the last month or so. The first one I indulged (hey, even the 430 can spank one of those). The next two I ignored, mainly due to boredom, $3.39 gas, and a jittery harmonic balancer.

If you haven't already done it, take the "V8 Kompressor" off the side of the car. Still, that's better than not being able to get anyone to race you.

I'm driving a flippen diesel and I get the same crap... I think it's MB envy thing. Kinda nice though when I frequently will take them and they have to know that they were beat by a diesel 
my 0-60 is only in the mid 6's, but that still better than half the rice out there that thinks they're fast. But with a 4.5 0-60, I dare say all by the fastest exotics would loose to you.
But I'm a bit shocked that all of those Mormons or LDSers (what ever is the preferred term) are so hot to race... I would have thought SLC was a sleepy town.. did a few overnights there in my flying days and found it kinda slow.. Of course I spent most of that time in and around the down town Hilton.

This is amusing...
When I had my R34 GTR Skyline, the only cars that wanted to race were Mercs - usually the small engined ones.
AMG drivers never moved over on the motorway even with a half mile gap to the next car.
Boy did I enjoy kicking some..
P.S The only car that beat the GTR was a 911 GT2

I thought about this thread when my wife told me what happened to her today. She was at a red light and a small volvo came up and started revving at her and starring her down looking at the SL65 badge. She tried to ignore them, and when the light turned green the volvo floored it. Being my wife she let the little S40 or whatever drive off without even considering chastising them.
Me on the other hand. I would have given them about a 5 second head start, and flew by at the speed of sound, just to make their doors flap in the wind.
She was shocked and I thought that it was just another wannabe Benz owner trying to get a little attention. LO L

Interesting, I have had my E55 for the last 1 1/2 years and only one car wanted to test out the beast which happened to a Mustang which posed no problem. It must the drinking water up there in Salt Lake City causing people to race you.

try palm springs....seems like everyone in palm springs has something to prove. i was recently there and was amaze how people drive at stop lights, intersections, and sharp turn corners...jeeze slow down fooo...felt like buying a couple inflatable ***** and letting them roll across the streets one at a time when someone is driving toooo agressive.
