Porsche Turbo Got Owned

So I Just picked up this girl from her house, and this Turbo Is behind me at the stop sign and im just sitting there not moving...he revs up his engine and goes to the left of me...so i look at him and hear him revin up, so im like ok its about to go down he stomped it a good half a second before me...then i mashed, at about 50mph i was a little less than half a car infront...at 80 i was a good 1 1/2 cars ahead....by the time we got to 100 we had to stop for the stop sign but im sure it would have been intresting if we got up to about 120 -140...BTW around my house stop sign to stop sign is about 1/4 ....eleanor owner can vouch for that....Anyways fun win....a few hours later i came across an M6 teased him for about a mile but he wouldnt race...He was probably pissin him self....AMG LIFE

I drove a P-Car turbo this past weekend and that car is no way near as fast as my E55 K2.... A stock W211 E55 would kill a stock 911 Turbo. Nice race.

E55 AMG/ 911 GT2/ 911 GT3
We'll be sure to look out for you... there are some serious 996TT's around town that will beat the **** out of any AMG car, including the SLR McLaren or Kleemann K1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10.... My old 996TT pulled 10.74 in the quarter at 134mph... to date I have not seen an AMG car touch that, let alone the 9 second times that Alex D's 996TT in the Bay Area is pulling.

I wouldn't get too arrogant driving an E55, it's an inferior car from a performance perspective to the Porsches. You'll see...

Assuming a competent driver, it would be close... an X50 would kill it.

Wow, that was a strong response. I don't think the question is "which car is faster, an E55 or P-car." Don't get your panties in a twist. I've been beaten by cars that I thought I would absolutely trounce. It's always nice, however, when you do the thumping on a car that "should" beat you. Cudos to the E55 driver on this one.

Lol match box racers getting all twisted up. Isn't drag racing a Pcar kind of like taking a pistol to shoot targets against a rifle? Pcars and AMGs are simply aplles and oranges. Kill stories are great and we can all have fun on the streets, but please lets not get into which is "better"

Yes, you're right... no point in getting into which is better, because Porsche clearly makes better cars than Chrysler-AMG.

My E55 is a travesty in handling... about all it does well is nice big burnouts and straight line pulls... A Cayenne Turbo will easily outhandle an E55. In fact, there is no doubt that the Cayenne Turbo S would probably whoop my E55 around a race track too. How SAD is that?

All MB had to do was give us a proper suspension with electronically adjustable shocks, instead they gave us some airbag bull**** that chollos use on their hoopties and el caminos.

I have yet to have a decent run with a porsche with any chance of kicking my ***. I have found them to be a complete bore on the streets. Cobras are far more exciting. Maybe the few who are faster live in other parts of the planet or have modified their cars for the track only. They also may have superior handling, and have shown lower 1/4 times in the most extreme situations, but its hard to tell when they are 20 car lengths back.

If you are referring to the owner's unwillingness to get after it, then I agree. The only P-car I managed to goad into a spirited run was a late-model 911 (non-turbo) that was behind me on a circular on-ramp. He really tried, but i walked away up to around 120, then we both eased up for traffic ahead. Shortly after that he did the fly-by with a grimace on his face. Sore loser...

Of course, I know a 996 tt would have been a MUCH different story. anyway, I encounter Porsches on the road frequently - but they are usually driving like grannies.

No matter what you drive, there is always someone faster. I agree the tuned 55k and V12TT's are fast, but they handle like crap and are way too heavy. There are many, many modified Porsches that will kill AMG cars in a straight line and many modified AMG cars that will do the same to Porsches.... so what! We should appreciate all of them. But, Try taking your AMG cars to a road course and you will feel the extra 1k - 2k lbs as the 10 year old Porsches are lapping you!


This is a common view to most AMG Mercedes including my own E55 Kleemann K1.......
