Death, Taxes & Losing a race.

It's inevitable. I've had my car for about 4 months now and finally saw someone's tail lights. I have a friend who just purchased an old fox body mustang. The thing weighs 2600 lbs, is gutted, full roll cage, 4 link drag suspension, built s/c 306, cut rear axles, nitrous and slicks, 410 gears. We went from about a 5 mph roll. He jumped out to about 2 cars but could not pull any more. The second run I actually got the jump and then he put about 1 car and held. The funny thing is, he cut out right after taking the lead. We probably ran no more than 1/8th mile, 90 mph. He said he was impressed with the 4 door sedan. I think he didn't want to see me fly by him. Sure, at the track he would eat me alive (10.5 sec. car off the bottle) but from a roll, I would love to take it a full 1/4 mile. I think he would be very surprised. By his actions (premature ending of race), maybe he wouldn't.

I have seen Turbo civics beat an E55

a turbo lexus IS300 beat one badly

there will be always faster cars.

Don't take it so hard: E55's are plenty fast for 99.8% of time.

Did you buy your E55 do go to the dragstrip? I doubt it. Sounds like this guy bought this Mustang for the track. To me it would be like comparing apples to oranges.

Go find some Ferrari 360's and crush them, that'll make you feel better. They buzz around here like flies. Took one down on the West Side Highway at 3AM in an '03 E55 last winter, the guy was mortified.

My buddy wants to run again. I will oblige. Hopefully this time he'll stay in it longer than 4 seconds. I did the ECU reset and the car feels great. Bring it on!
