While the 997S is sweet, the C6Z06 is just incredible. Titanium intake valves and connecting rods along with dry sump oiling were usually only found in pro-stock type engines or a few of the exotics but NEVER on a readily available production car. Factor in the carbon fenders and special frame and it should be an easy choice.
I found a dealer who is selling them(brand new) at -$500 off MSRP. PM me if you're interested.

the only thing that bothers me is that i will have to spend at least 10k on it to make the interior decent and put some coilovers on it (leaf springs
).and its also kind of wide for the canyons and there is 0 steering feel (even z06 owners admit to it)
i dunno what i want

Thats what I am thinking as well. I don't care how well you can launch a car, it doesn't explain why his trap speed is higher and 1/4 time for that matter are WAY lower than just about everyone on the planet. If your passion is drag racing and you put on drag radials to get better times who would leave the filters alone and whatever else if it would help. Doesn't make sense.
2. The reason that Ranger's time seems so unbelievable is because it is. He has been known to get the best times out of cars ie. new and old Z06. Look at his times for the C5 and C6 Z06s and you will see it that he is way out ahead of everyone else. Which after 52 times running his stock Z06 he got this time on DRs...

I can see he is a great driver but that doesn't explain trap speeds so much greater. That part doesn't make sense.
I have a Z06, and I will tell you right now that it is NOT a 129.xx mph car. On average, it is a 125 mph car.
I live in Md. and can drive just fine but I don't get 4 or 5 mph more in the traps than everyone else that has an SL65.

..and 6th is loud and pointless.
