Video clip of run
Here is a video clip of Ranger's pass.
Listen closely and you'll hear a slight bog on the launch which may have hurt his time ever so slightly.

Well w/BFG'S on some 16-18" wheels you'll throw down another 25-30rwhp EZ.. Then factor in your 100hp edge over stock we are talkin' 9's like I said earlier keep us informed on your progress

that would be my guess. 10.7-10.4 somewhere in there. now after i do suspension that might shave a 10th or two..

i would have to guess i would be somewhere in the mid 10's. i might have a hundered horses up on a stock z. but you have to factor in traction. even with drag radials, i think it would still have some traction problems. the wheels would have to be at least 18" to clear the rotors and i wouldnt want to put a huge tire. ( i have heard of vettes breaking parts when running tires suck as DR's.) couple shops directed me away from getting slicks as it is.

I agree that 10.40-10.70's with DR's should be attainable. My worry would be the stress on the clutch and axle shafts holding up especially with repeated 3500-3700 RPM launches(DR's) or 4500-5000 RPM launch on slicks.
A few C6Z06 owners have already ripped up their shafts on street tires alone.

a few...
^ The stock LS7 clutch has proved to be durable... as long as you don't bog the hell out of it or get too much traction with some DRs. Yes, many owners have seen the demise of the clutch, but Ranger has not and has proved that the stock clutch is all anyone will ever need even with light mods and decent driving ability (without too heavy of a right foot.)

Don't forget about the Cartek built 2005 C6 A4 w/Procharger + heads/cam headers, 3.15 gears, etc.. 599rwhp 495rwto on ET street radials they hit the 1/4 9.93 @ 136.88
You have very similar power to the above mentioned car it's very possible for you to run these times, if they can hook on ET street rads so can you

Ed Cole was an engineer with Cadillac in the late '40's~early 50's that developed the overhead valve caddy V8 and then took the technology to Chevrolet...Duntov worked with Cole and put the 265 small block Chevy in the '55 Corvette. You know the rest of the story.
