Don't race on public roads.
first of all I would like to say, that until few hours ago I was very optimistic person and was having a lot of kill stories.
UNTIL KNOW.
Few hours ago I've had a car accident. Guess what, I was racing some guy in my 2005 Mercedes C. We're having runs from a roll. It was dark already and there was very little traffic on roads.
Anyways, the road was straight between two huge fields and with a huge turn at the end.
I decided to make this turn at rather high speed (other guy was catching up and I didnt want to lose).
So I make this turn at like 60MPH and ....................
.....................huuuuuge drift, I was trying to handle my car, nope, nothing helped. I slided into the field almost hitting a huge road sign at 50MPH (it was less than 1 meter distance) huge jump and I ended up on the field. I was totally shocked. When something like this happens, you never have enough time to think or to do something, it just goes by so fast, you wont even have time to realize what happened. I am sooo happy that I am alive and can write this message to you guys. Other guy has left didnt even bother to stop.
After that I realized that ESP was OFF! Yes it was OFF! I was schocked! I am sure that it was always ON and still cant figure out how come it was OFF. I could kill myself!
Please guys, dont race your cars, only on the track. Even if you are a skilled driver you never know whats going to happen. Sometimes weird things happen.
I've learned my lesson and next time I see some punk trying to race me, I will think twice before doing anything.
Thanks for your time guys!

Racetracks are designed and built for a reason, public streets for another. Don't get that mixed-up - it could cost you Big Time....
Yes, my front bumper is pretty messed up, but besides that everything is OK, I am fine too.
I agree with ClayJ.

Good to hear you're ok.
BTW, none of my cars have ESP or any type of yaw control so i've always been careful about that!
Tee_Tz.
When the ESP light stays on (even if you didn't turn it off) that means the systems fried for the moment and it off. At least that's what I've learned from some of these kill stories........
do that. I am glad you're ok and have learned.
