This isn't a joke...this guy jumped on my tail on the way home from a cross town trip. I thought to my self "If this guy gets any closer he's going to know what I had for lunch." I was on the Blue Tooth with my wife and told her I would call her back that I had to take care of something.

I moved over to the right lane and this guy came around with the "fly by" on the left. I expected at least a 545 but..no I spotted the 530 badge. We were approaching a curvy twisty section of road so I thought I would give this guy a little excitement. I went to the firmest airmatic and started pushing it. The bimmer was hanging tight but was mis calculating some of the turns and was having a bit of trouble holding a straight line.

We approached an intersection after which is about a ten mile stretch of open road. I was in the right lane which merges left after about a 1/4 mile (3: lanes become 2). The 530 pulled up to my left and both of our windows came down..."I couldn't get by you in those curves but I'll eat you alive in straight dig" the BMW driver said. I thought 'this guy has it backwards." I looked left and straight into his eyes, smiled and yelled back "Alright Bimmer...Let's do it!!" I put the tranny in S mode and watched the light. With just a hint of green I let it out and heard a little bark of protest from the 20" Kumhos. I pulled ahead by about 4 lengths and moved to the far left and let up just a bit. The bimmer caught me and I just ran right next to him and yelled over "What's up Bimmer?...you want to run...or what?" I ran side by side up to about 100 and went ahead and nailed it. I pulled over in front of him and lifted at about 120. I got to see another 530I "fly by" except this time he waved good by with one finger..the middle one.

I felt guilty. All that gas I wasted...oh well.

Ha Ha...and if the S500's motor was in a C Class it would be a different story as well. Sort of like me jumping on a M5.

I have owned a 530I and a 540I 6 speed...I know how they run. My S500 is somewhere between the two acceleration wise. Both of my E39 BMW's had Sport/Premium packages. Even still...the 530I was a bit quicker in the twisties than the 540I was. I don't think my S500 would stay close to either one on a road course...but that's not what a S Class is designed to do.However, I would rather spend a day driving the S Class than any of the 5 series BMW's.I really do miss my 540I....I might pick one up for a toy some time.

 

I wish I had ABC...I think in the w220 it was only available on S600/65/55 cars...I'm not sure.

It was obviously 3 reasons he would be that much of a moron -

1. He isnt driving his own car.
2. He is a first time Bimmer owner and thinks he has a race car because its a BMW.
3. He is driving his daddy's car.

I mean most Bimmer drivers are pretty knowledgeable on what they are driving. A 530 is nothing if he knew his cars well. I myself would never provoke a race with anyone in my 528i.

i got flipped off by a bmw 325i. i was drivin my 05 C230k with me and 4 people in the cari was drivin slow i was gettin onto the freeway and he passed me up. i chased him for 15 miles on the freeway and i was drivin next to him with 80mph for 5 seconds and he steps on it and i stepped on it 3 seconds later but those 4 people in the car made me so much slower my car was like a low rider he hit over 100 and braked then he got off the exit i was about to get off too but i was like nah so we thought he said PEACE but he flipped us off he was holdin his middle finger for like 5 seconds.

 

Nice Kill.....What year 530i was it? not that it matters, its just some of them have 255bhp while others have 225.....
The ones with 255 hp are quite quick, hit 60 in 6.5 seconds or thereabout.....you still would have beaten a newer one no doubt.
