How much power do you think you have w those mods?
Oh,it looks like your friend almost took out that garbage can when he spun that donut in the beginning of the vid

I lined up against a brand new 300 SRT-8 at the dragstrip w my 55,he ran a best of 13.10@112.He said he just picked it up&drove straight from the dealership to the track

Thanks for the comments.

I got no idea how much power Iīm putting to the ground, I need to take it to a dyno, but there isnīt one in my city. Itīs a 4 hour drive to the closest one.

And I would love to race a 211 E55, but havenīt found one here. LOL. I can count with one hand the AMGs here. One SL55, one CLS55, one SLK55 and me. Havenīt had a chance to race any of them. Thereīs the possibility of racing a RS6 next week, but not for sure.

I am so in love with my car.

Nice c32!
Yes, I also got H&R springs and sway bars. I got a custom job for a second heat exchanger. The battery was moved to the trunk and the space was used for a separate and bigger water reservoir for the supercharger. I also got a bigger water pump.

Iīm just about to order evosport headers, so it would be finally all stage 2, except for the fact that I have ASP pulleys.

Looking for a new toy.
Nice - you were pulling on him pretty good each time, that's one quick car you have!

A friend of mine just picked up an SRT-8, hoping to get some runs against him when the snow goes.

ive heard of porting the heads, but not the supercharger. What exactly happens in the process of "porting the supercharger?" Is this expensive to do? Generally, what kind of gains do you see from doing this?

I have a ported S/C on my lowly C230 Coupe.

Before:

After:

You get more airflow. The engine spools quicker. I would say I got 7 hp. More importantly, I'm getting about 2-3 more mpg.

Wow that was a whipping. From how you pulled on the srt8 I can tell you your making atleast 400hp to the wheels. Nice job eventhough you beat up on one of my siblings .

Ditto. How about some more info regarding porting the C32 supercharger. Anyone know the details of this?

Niceee.... I think SRT-8 is "only" very high 12's or low 13's car. It's just slightly faster, if at all, than W210 E55.

Stock C32 is only slightly slower than, if not as fast as, W210 E55... so yes, a beat like that w/ that much mods is not a surprise...

I ran a 12.81 @110 bone stock...300c srt8. The average though is around 13.1 @ 107-108.

typically, how much does porting the S/C cost? Who does it? Is it like a special machine shop or something?

Damn that is strong. I have raced my friends 05' 300c srt8 before my mods and we where dead nuts up to 120 everytime (give or take, pending who launched better). With my mods (removed secondary cats, intake and x-pipe) I barely beat him by a 1/4 to 1/2 of a car now up to 120.( his is still stock)

Some cars are freaks, though. Some W211 E55s can get at and below 12 seconds in the 1/4.

I believe you.... but I still believe on average SRT8 is slightly (not a lot) faster than W210 E55...

A friend of mine (bone stock W210 E55) ran 12.89 @ 109... his average is 13.02 @ 108.

While me, I ran only twice a long time ago... my W210 ran only low 13's (13.1-13.3 if my memory serves me correctly). When I test drove his car, I felt his car was a lot stronger. But I've seen / heard worse... W210 E55 that goes only 13.8-13.9 (not sure it was driver's factor or the car itself).

That's the way it is.... some people got a strong car, some people got a weak car. Look at Derek's and one other folk's E63.... they put down less horses to the wheels than E55 And look at how wide stock W211 E55's 1/4 and trap is... some low 12's (even break 11's)... some high 12's.

My point is: stock C32 (~13.2-13.4) is only a tick slower than SRT-8 (~13-13.3). Modded C32 like mex's seems to put down at least 400 rwhp. I suspect his 1/4 is at least mid 12's @ ~110-115 as seen how he walked SRT-8.

Another possibility is the SRT-8 shown could be a weak one (mid to high 13's?) All are possible... take it easy.

My business partner has an 06 SRT8 with intake, exhaust and a tune. His car is sluggish off the line but from 20-80 it's no slouch. The other day we were driving home and I got next to him. He launched at about 20 and by the time mine kicked down he was 1/2 car ahead and I wasn't gaining until we hit over 80. Off the line it's no contest, even with my ESP light flashing all the way up the speedometer. Of course, I'm not stock either.

I definitely believe a modded c32 would walk a srt8, I have no question in my mind about that. Power to weight ratio is a mother... .

I was at the track with quite a few srt8's (mopar event at englishtown raceway). Like you said I seen big variations in times, a 100% stock ran 12.70 at 111mph and I also seen one run 13.4 at 107. Every car from the factory is a little different even the hand made ones like amg's.

Oh yeah, There is member here who him and I make high speed runs every weekend, most of you may know him from his posts (coolcarlski). He has a c43 body with a e55 motor in it and we run heads up till he hits the governor at 155 then I keep going till mine at 171. I believe he is dynoing at 310 to the wheels and I'm in the neighborhood of 410 to the wheels. Both of us are slightly modded.
