Ml 63 Vs Wrx
I raced a WRX today in the ML63. I managed to get it on video tape. Here is the video.

02 CLK 55 AMG,09 C63 loaded with P30
Regular wrx is no match for my c36 or 350z. Raced one from a dig,he got the 1st jump but right after I walked him pretty good. A modded STI is a different story.

The WRX had exhaust and proly other poorly matched upgrades as it sounded like it was missing badley in second gear. Ml63 pulled it like it was parked.

Jesus that must have hurt him. The only thing that would've been better is if his girlfriend was in the car.
My next door neighbor has a WRX and we take the same route home from work everyday and 1 or twice a week we run into each other. We were at a light on a one lane road with me in front. He called me on my cell and asked me to punch it when the light turned green and bet me I couldn't pull away from him. Well, I was thinking that his car was about 1/2 second faster in the quarter so I tricked him a bit. I put the car in 1st and pulled off slowly instead of punching it. As soon as I saw his nose dip, I gunned it. I tell you what, the ol' 500 surprised me a bit, and it definately surprised him. Not only did he not catch me, but up to about 100 mph he didn't gain one little bit on me. Now, I know it really wasn't a fair race since I jumped on mine when he got off of his, but he definately has a new found respect for my car.
About a week later we met at a different light, this time with him in front and I knew it was on. As soon as the light turned green, he punched it and so did I. My esp kicked in and cut the throttle for a second. I'll tell you what, that little WRX took off like a friggin banshee, and he must have had 7 or 8 lengths on me at 110 mph. The score is tied at 1-1.
Enough about me and my slow *** sled. I wonder how many people you suprise the crap out of with that ML. Especially since you're running straight pipes on it now

2 WRX's, vacation in Europe for a week, take a fat chick to the best restaurant in town right before she starts her 10th diet for the month,give 20 bums a c-note and still have money left over to fill both cars for what a ML63 cost?

It helps to distinguish between a WRX and an STI. A wrx is nothing special, especially stock. A STI is an entirely different car and markedly faster, though by no means the fastest things on the street. And, neither one traps very high, so you should be able to beat it at the top end with anything comparably powered.

I bought an STI two weeks ago for my commuter and weekend road racer. It pulls pretty good stock, and will do much better when tuned and with TBE. It doesn't pull anywhere near as hard as the SL65, but would likely rape it in the twisties...
