E63 vs '02 Z06&'06 GTO

Two races today,one kill&one near rear-end accident...
Wifey's sick so she sent me to the pharmacy to get her Rx.Waiting to make a left out of my development I see a black C5 Z06 approaching from the right,he see's me&I guess he slowed down to have a closer look as there arent too many AMG's in my area.We made eye contact&he smirked a lil bit as he drove by.Guy was in his early 20's&looked real cocky...
I made the left and the vette was prolly 50 yds in front,I jumped on it a bit&closed in on him to say "Hi".The back end of his car squatted & a bit of black carbon soot blew out the exhaust so I know he downshifted&got on it.I'm always game so I got on it to,only I got on it a bit too much and almost rear ended him so I backed off.He grabbed another gear&the opportunity presented itself so I decided to swing over the yellow line&pass this fool.It was over quickly,I stayed on it a bit longer but he flashed his brights at me so I knew he was done.He followed me for 4 miles and I had to make a left at an intersection, and he was heading straight. The light turned red&he pulled alongside so I looked over & he was smiling.I told him "thats the most fun I had all day,so thanks for the excitement"..His response was " Holy F*%#@ing S**T that thing is fast,I was on it&you passed me like I was standing still! That car is awesome man! I thought it was an E55,but when you passed I saw E63& couldnt beleive it,I've never seen one in person, blah blahh blahh.."
Turned out to be a cool vette owner who knew AMG's

Second race was leaving CVS w wifeys meds.Black GTO w obnoxiously loud exhaust whips around a slower car to get in the turning lane.It caught my attention because he must have straight pipes it was so loud, resonating&just about backfiring when off the throttle.Wow,very cool.
Got behind him&made the turn but we're stuck behind a school bus. He's a older, fat guido lookin tool w vanity plates& black tinted windows. The bass from the his music was so loud MY mirrors were vibrating, lol. This was gonna be fun..
Bus turned,I pressed the issue&got right up on his bumper at about 30mph.He took the bait&downshifted to 1st&then proceeded to chirp 2nd,3rd,&4th,all the while his exhaust was deafening. He pulled ahead a lil bit,but I waited for the right time to give it all the 63 had.Pedal to the floor, the 63 downshifted to 2nd for a moment&then up to 3rd&damn near launched me into his bumper. Were now easily doing 80mph on a 30mph street.I had to let up as there was no point in continuing. He panicked&hit his brakes approaching a sharp decreasing radius left hander. Then I REALLY had to hit the brakes.
I wish I had the room to make the pass&seal the deal but it wasnt gonna happen on that road.I'm sure he went home bragging he just waxed a big ol Mercedes but I've seen the car before(as well as heard it)and I will do my best to give him a proper ***-raping next time I see him

Nice way to represent.

From my experience being near them, it seems that the bass in a GTO can only be turned down if the ignition key is removed.

GOD DAMMIT, I need to get a 63! I've got racing in my blood as my father was a pro IHRA drag racer in the late 60's early 70's. It just pains me so much to putt around in my measly 500. Both of em.

Nicely done. Put your flame suit on though. I'm sure your're gonna hear about how doing 80 in a 30 is unsafe, blah blah blah.

Be happy you have those big big AMG brakes, when I stop from 100+ full force its like trying to stop a locomotive only using a parachute. Im doing a stage II brake kit on my car soon. S4 rear calipers + Boxter front w/ audi A8 rotors.

Nice kills for sure, though you should be far more careful.

I had a friends turbo busa malfunction&overboost in 2rd gear and tagged the rev limiter one afternoon on this same road.Well into the triple digits.Damn near shat myself as it revved so fast before I could roll off the throttle
Its pretty rural up here, but still wasnt the smartest thing to do..

Pretty sure the '02 Z06 had 405hp from the factory,it was pretty swift going down the road

Just noticed you live in OC, NY. Do you have any bikes made by OCC?

Hell no.They've been around for some time(long before the TV show),and their bikes are not very reliable.A few friends of the family own some of their older bikes&they broke down all the time.Since they order everything from other vendors&just basically do the assembly of the bike they dont stock any parts.Thats the problem if something mechanical breaks.
Jesse James actually builds his stuff,so I would buy one from him if I was in the market for that type of bike

Really would rather not hijack this thread, but I really want know, how did OCC actually get so big? Because the Discovery channel gave them a TV opportunity?

Jesse James is a whole nother story, he is a real metalshop craftsman. His bikes look better than what OCC builds anyways.

Yeah, pretty much from the TV show....

Paul Sr. made his money as an Ironworker&owning his own company afforded him the opportunity to make some frames, etc and basically took off from there. My father-in-law has a relative who is pretty close with the Teutels and has a few bikes from them. But nothing at all like you see on TV.

I've seen the old man food shopping a few times and a guy from my gym has trained w him once or twice. He's real strong&has no problem repping out w 405 on the flat bench. And he's all juiced up no matter what he says, but that doesnt make him a bad person in my book

The 63 AMG engines have 500hp NA. I cant wait for the C63 which is much lighter.

Yeah, that car will be sick if it gets the full 500hp.I have a strong feeling MB wont do that because it would destroy the E63,CL63,CLS,CLK&S63.

AMG customers are used to the formula of the more you pay the faster you go,it would suck for alot of people who shelled out $130k on a CL63 only to get their doors blown off by a $60k C63.
Personally I cannot wait for the C63 to come out,as it looks the business!!
I may have to add that to the stable

The mag says its detuned to 472hp for the c63. But still it will be a low 12sec car. The e55 has 469hp and its a hefty 4100lbs it runs mid 12s. For $60k c63 I think its a bargain. Maybe I will wait a couple yrs after it comes out.

55k and 63 engines are incomparable. 1st the 55 were underated and 2nd the tq difference in huge (considering the point @ which it peaks and how long it stays "flat")

nice runs Gixxer

Well the C63 is going to be at least 400lbs lighter then the E55. So your talking about 12sec or better for the c63. We will see when it comes out. Talk about being underrated my c36 only has 268hp and its identical in the 1/4 with the c43 302hp. They weight the same.
