I went to OBI this morning at about 9:00am (place was packed) and met up with my friend and one of his friends. Last week he picked up a beautiful red Ferrari Enzo with 3000 miles. Today was the first time I've seen the car. The other guy has a blue 2007 ferrari 599. All I can say is that Enzo is Freakin sweeeeet. The 599 is pretty sweet too, but in a "low key" kinda way.
We ended up leaving at about 11:30. My friend in the Enzo got pulled over on the way to OBI, so he was a bit nervous to race around. Of course, on the way home I was taunting him and he finally said "**** it." 1st run was from 60-130ish and Enzo was about 1 1/2 cars ahead. 2nd run was from about 40-120ish and he was also about 1 1/2 cars ahead. We didn't race much more since there were too many cars; only two lanes going westbound. I knew he would beat me, but I hung with him better than I expected. He did tell me before we left that he wasn't used to the car yet, which I guess I believe. Even though I lost, it was still fun racing against a true supercar.
His friend in the 599 was behind us the whole way on Ocean pky. When we approached the lighthouse, the Enzo was going straight to Meadowbrook and the 599 and I took the Wantagh pkwy. He was probably impressed and shocked at how fast my car was against the Enzo. About 1 mile up, the road was pretty clear. I actually didn't expect him to race with me because he looked a bit conservative and significantly older, maybe 60ish. Well, I was wrong. From 60-140, he was about 1 car ahead, but he totally got the jump and I hit it anyway. I wanted to race again, but we didn't get another opportunity due to other cars on the road. There was some corvette racing with us in the 3rd lane, but he was toast. He must have felt like a loser with his girl in the passenger seat. Overall, a fun day even though I lost to both Ferraris.

Excellent reading.
How sweet did the Enzo sound under full throttle in front of you?
I took a ride out to a lighthouse that ran parallell to the ocean in L.I.,I wonder if it's the sme one?.The lighthouse was inside of a traffic circle, and the road that was alongside the water was heading to Jones Beach I think?I made some money, turned around & got the hell outta there as a helicopter showed up out of nowhere

Nice.
You get to race 2 F-cars, all I get are mullet-sporting 'Necks driving the standard-issue Pontaic Bonnevilles.
Awesome runs.

The Enzo sounded typical Ferrari, similiar to the F430.

Its crazy that you raced an Enzo...I mean, there are less than 400 in the world. To only be a few car lengths behind that is a real accomplishment...and you don't even drive a 65!

Yeah thats it,the Pencil!
Thanks mang

Gondon,
OBI is about 10 miles east of the tall tower or "pencil" on Ocean pkwy. You really can't miss it because of all the cars and people. If anyone here was at OBI yesterday between 9:00-11:30, then they definitely saw the Enzo since it was in your face as soon as you entered the lot.
Italion,
I agree the Enzo is faster, but it wasn't quite "a few car lengths faster." Most of the road tests done say the car does about 11.0 at 130ish in the 1/4. So yes there is no doubt his car is faster.
His car is 1 of only 3 in the world with the all red interior; I was told this info, but I have no idea whether or not it's true. I felt uncomfortable asking how much he paid for the car, but the rumor I heard from a few other friends is $1.1 million. He is the guy who also owns the Carrera GT that I raced in my prior thread "my CL vs supercars"

Take care man
Andrew - is your CL stock? Not to ruin your mojo - but are you sure that he was in the right gear?
I ask because my dad couldn't drive his F-cars for sheet.

Ahhhh. That helps 'splain things a bit better.
Nice job.
Enzom,
Yes, my car has 625hp. Well, I think it does, but I never got it dynoed. My car runs almost dead even with a C6 Z06. I've raced a few!

So thats why my friend saw a Enzo in Glen Cove hahaha.
Just got home from OBI. What a crazy morning. Enzo was there again with some other nice exotics.
A few races against some E55s. The E55 guys post everything in the E55 section, including races with videos. I don't know why they don't post in here.

Frank should run the Enzo in his E55 =D.
