Modded C6 played w/brand new 997 TT yesterday!
On South Bound 101 see him in light traffic darting in-out of lanes, catch up to him, deff a New P-car Turbo (dealer paper plates still on) all blk w/drk tints, not much room to go all out so we ran in same lane jumping thru big open lanes approaching some good speeds! He couldn't shake me to save his ****! & he was deff trying! I stayed a length to 1 & 1/2 off his bumper till my water bottle in center console got loose I had to let off before water went flying everywhere lol..
He went for an exit in the Topanga cyn area shortly after, No thumbs up but I'm sure he thought he beat me badly when I let off to adjust water bottle, no biggie that's one hell of a fast ride it was an honor to race w/him, who knows maybe he couldn't drive? or was keeping outt've full throttle till full break in? who knows??
Was it anybody here? if soBeautiful ride!!!

I saw a 997 Turbo, and was trying to catch up to it (I'm not fooling anyone, I just wanted to see how badly it would rip open my butt hole)...
Got somewhat close, guess the guy saw me though, because he kicked that thing into outer space...it looked like I was going backwards!
Ricker, what do you think would happen in a legit race??

I used to drive a 997TT. I've also driven in and seen C6 vette's in action. I am not doubting you as I've had some strange races where I seem to hang with cars that should destroy me.
A 997TT should definitely pull on you though. Even from a roll.

His car was black too but the rims were a grayish color. I really loved that car, it had everything you could want.

w/ all due respect to p-cars (love them & use to have '97/993-my first sports car i owned, so have soft spot for 'em), i think the new 997 TT is nice, but for the price/performance, everything i have read from 1/4-track times, the c6zo6 is much faster. do not want to get into the p-car v vette debate, as i resepct both, but the numbers seem to suggest a clear winner b/w both regearding performance-esp. for price. style, interior etc all debatable.
from all the cars have owned (p-car, m5/dinan tuned etc.), my renntech 55 is best so far. curious if this 997/TT on 101 had plates? had a similar 997/TT racing around stoplights just off fwy near SF one morning. from two lights he tried to pull, but had 1-2 cars on him each time. was very early a.m.-after secong light he stopped just at my rear at next stop and looked left to see what type MB i had. he then just turned left behind me after i pulled through as light turned.

maybe same guy. all i remember is he had the side inlets and headlights of 997 body. was debating if was a TT because had the dual square exhaust vs quad. this pic has same exhaust set as one i saw that morning. i almost came to stop as slowly rolled through light (when he turned behind me) and could see his rear as he turned and went away. anyway...interesting. have good wknd, Ricker...

there's a new/er black c6/zo6 i come across in my town every so often, but he seems mellow. never tried to pull on my renn badged 55, just cruises by at speed, no games. handsome car. i think the c6/zo6 is beautiful.
