Any W140 kill stories?
Anyone got any good kill stories involving a W140? I'm about to buy a '99 S320, and even though it is only the I-6, it's still got some pretty good power. Anyone got any stories? I wanna know what I'm in for!
Thanks in advance,
Chad.

Man, they were heavy! My 1995 S500 was like 600 lbs. heavier than the W220 that replaced it. I think my S65 is lighter. It was a reliable battleship, but not the greatest car for kills.

Definetly not the fastest car out there, but they were decent. 0-60 times ranged from low 6 seconds for the V12 models up to the high 8 seconds for the I-6 models...this is from the brochures. I have no idea how accurate they are. I can say that the I-6 model that I'm probably gonna buy feels as quick or maybe just a tad bit quicker around town than my 4.9L deVille, and that '95 S500 I drove a few weeks ago was as quick or quicker than a Northstar Cadillac.

hey the s320 can deff. take care of itself. not the quickest, but by no means slow.
ive taken out many unsuspecting victims with the s600. mostly Mustang GTs though

No, but I highly doubt with 125 HP/190 ft. lbs. and a curb weight of a typical Cadillac (in excess of 4K lbs.) from the 1980's (Allante probably excluded) I doubt it would do much damage either.
Excellent point!
If you run over them you most certainly will.

Haha, exactly. I've driven multiple HT4100 Cadillacs (remember, Cadillacs were my first love, especially the big ol' ones), and Oh my god are the 4.1s slow, especially on the highway.
Here, watch this.
Test drive of an '84 Eldorado Biarritz. This one's about 300 lbs lighter than the deVille.

So I got a baseline for my 0-60 today. 9.3 seconds....eh. It feels faster than it really is, but it hauls *** once above about 65 or so. I think I'm gonna do some stuff to make it quicker at lower speeds.
